Dan Kadar, the head honcho over at Mocking the Draft, has been updating the site position rankings. We'll have position-by-position coverage here as well, but it's worth discussing the updated WR rankings tonight.
The Rams have a deep stable of WRs (especially if they can re-sign Brandon Lloyd), but are sorely lacking a top of the roster WR to help provide a consistent threat for Sam Bradford, especially in 3rd down and red zone situations. There are some enticing options in free agency, but as always, the draft affords teams the chance to re-stock the roster with young, promising talents.
The top 5, Justin Blackmon, Michael Floyd, Kendall Wright, Alshon Jeffrey and Mohamed Sanu in that order, shouldn't be all that surprising. Keep an eye out for Alshon as WRs measure on Friday and work out on Sunday. His frame is going to be closely scrutinized.
Joe Adams, #9 on the list, could be the next speedster taken after Kendall Wright come April, so his 40-yard time is going to be key. And just after Adams at #10 is Brian Quick, a massive WR who had an incredibly successful career at Appalachian St. He didn't start playing football until his senior year in HS, so he's a bit raw - his measurables are going to be key for teams looking for a possession frame.
Speaking of, Dwight Jones at #6 is going to get a lot of scrutiny. He's not the fastest or most athletic wideout, but he uses his size well and attacks the ball in the air.
Two late guys to watch are #18 Marvin Jones who impressed at the Senior Bowl and #20 Eric Page who filled up box scores at Toledo.
What's your take on the rankings? Anyone too high or low in your opinion? Who are you most interested to see in Indy
Will not be defeated picked Riley Reiff for the Dolphins yesterday, creating one of the better young tandems of tackles in the NFL. Today, the Bills, led by iplaythedrums, are up. They pick:
Analysis after the jump.
In an effort to placate teams who have a vested interest in seeing both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III perform at their respective schools' pro days (read: maybe the Colts, but not really anyone), Baylor has moved their pro day up to from the 22nd to the 21st of March.
While the scheduling conflict wasn't a big deal, the Rams need a big day from RGIII on the 21st to solidify his value as being deserving of trading up to the second pick overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. There's nothing to suggest that won't happen, but the Rams need his workout to cement his status as the second best prospect overall as well as being worth mortgaging a handful of picks for.
The most obvious candidates continue to be the Browns and Redskins, but it's still early in the process. If RGIII hits his combine interviews out and continues to impress during his pro day, it can only help the Rams.
Of course there's more to enjoy at the pro days than just Luck and RGIII, but the most immediate concern is finding a buyer for that second pick.
The jshapgee led Panthers selected Michael Brockers out of LSU yesterday. Today, Will not be defeated, fearless leader of the Phins, selected:

"It pains me to deliberately take a potential franchise LT to spend 5 years as a RT with a top 9 pick, but this seems the only value pick to be had. Although Courtney Upshaw would fill a massive need for the Dolphins it is just too early to take him off the board. The same goes for the remaining QB’s in this draft class. With the absence of a trade down, Reiff is the pick and the Dolphins can under use his talent and development as a Hawkeye." |

The latest and greatest 2012 NFL Mock Draft is out at SB Nation. This version is the last one that will not include all the changes happening to draft boards at the Combine this week. As for the St. Louis Rams, this version takes builds on the latest speculation that Cleveland is the most likely trading partner for the second pick. And with two first rounders to give, the pick is Cleveland's if they want it.
What could the Rams do with those two picks? Let's look at the supposition after the jump.
The 2012 NFL draft is creeping closer. Like every year, this draft offers some interesting prospects for the St. Louis Rams. Most of the time the discussion is focused, for now, on drafting Justin Blackmon or Matt Kalil, or trading down for a boatload of picks.
Those discussions are important, but that topic has been talked about for months. Basically, we know the Rams will do something with the number 2 pick, but what should the Rams do after that?
My friend Nick Martin came to me on Twitter, and asked me if I can make an article about small school prospects. I enlisted him to help me on this article. This is the final result of that collaboration.
Also, don't let the small school tag fool you, good players come from small schools all the time. It's not as uncommon as you might think, and some of the players on this list could become good starters.

The Jaguars GM warriorsrise picked wunder-guard David DeCastro yesterday. Today, the Panthers, led by GM jshapgee, are looking to boost their defense. How would one of the years best rated defensive tackles look in Panther blue?
Analysis after the jump.
The Rams (led by Charlie Pankey) selected Morris Claiborne yesterday. It's now the Jag's (led by warriorsrise) turn to pick. They may not have added a playmaker, but DeCastro is most likely going to be one hell of a guard.
