Fans awaiting their tickets to the 2012 NFL game at London's Wembley Stadium may want to call the bobbies if things don't get sorted out soon.
The St. Louis Rams London date with the New England Patriots in 2012 is in doubt. As first reported on TST, ticket sales for the London game have been suspended, the day that general admission tickets were supposed to go on sale. Now, talk of Rams being replaced for the London game is surfacing.
On Jan. 27, the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission threw a challenge flag over the Rams violating their lease by moving a home game to locations other than the Edward Jones Dome. Asked about the situation on Friday, NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell said, "We're going to play the London games. We hope it will be with the Rams and the New England Patriots next year. That's what we planned. "
Greg Brady of Canadian Sportsnet 590 and an NFL correspondent for the BBC says that if the Rams are not allowed to play in the UK game, the league would like to keep the same date with the Patriots. Potential replacements could be the Titans or the Jaguars.
TST has asked for additional information from the Rams and NFL UK, but, so far, has received no response.
It's hard to believe that problems with the lease went unnoticed in the decision by the NFL to award the London games to the Rams. No lease in the country has received more scrutiny in the last 12 months. I do that the Rams were a little stunned by the negative reaction to the London news among local fans.
And speaking of fans, those who had already purchased tickets - club seats went on sale Jan. 25 - have reason to be upset. It does at least sound like the league will have game in the UK in October. At least one fan in that situation expressed some dissatisfaction over the issue, using the term "false advertising" to describe it.

Why is pettis still a ram?
PED should be a red flag. I would cut my loses if i was the rams.

Please, for the love of God,
can we make it one comment thread without someone making Joe Strummer’s corpse roll over by butchering the lyrics to a certain song by The Clash?

So... Should we stay or should we go?
RAMpage28 - February 4, 2012
Ahh, touche'.
But see that was witty and well placed. I both chuckled and rejoiced.

FU cvc and any fan not for the games in london
u lose one game a year and we in europe get to finally see our fav team live but u guys cant have it lol. greed at its finest
G unit Rams - February 4, 2012
greed goes both ways
Greed/“jack” is what brought them to sign up for London in the first place. When your talking millions of dollars the greed goes all the way around. Personally I liked the idea of the Rams playing a game.. Not 3.. in London but you can’t blame the CVC if it is cleary stated in the terms of the lease.

I was looking forward to the game? A bunch of TSTers in London would have been EPIC!
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
I agree....
It is one hell of a good time when the NFL plays there. Too bad this looks like it is being pushed away.

I know
would’ve been cool

I don't like that bear
he scary
Brick Top - February 4, 2012
lol I was just noticing that he seems to be glaring at the Delocated guy on the front page?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
I liked the idea
For one, it would have been obvious national TV exposure, which non-Rams market folks like myself crave. Secondly, if they are gonna make Stan foot most of the bill to either build a new stadium or make the the Dome top-notch, why not use the Rams to get more loot for the Rams? The reports were saying they would get a nice piece of change just for being over there, I say keep the game over there for this year and negotiate something for the other two.
willEYEam - February 4, 2012
The big thing is the loss of 3 home games. Why can't those be spread out among the other teams playing in London?
It seems like it would be a simple fix?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
That's the problem it's a simple fix and not a complicated one that requires luncheons at
fancy restaurants over an extended amount of time like most of the off season and there’s not strip club stop in between.
Freewheeler2 - February 4, 2012
Hah!
sergey606 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
That "Hah!" has a hangover tone?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
nope! Just a sarcastic undertone and an aggressive overtone (for all those that got super excited that the Rams are moving to London or LA based on this)
sergey606 - February 4, 2012
Hey guys!
What do you think the ramifications (no pun intended lol) are, if any, of the CVC throwing a wrench in Kroenkes London games? Could this hurt the negotiations to stay in StL? Interested to hear what you guys think on the subject.
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
It could very well be a negotiating ploy by the CVC to show they aren't as impotent as they appear to be?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
It could but
I don’t think it’s a good move to make the other party look this bad.
It’s called negotiations. It implies they have to come to an agreement.
It’s not a confrontation where one must lose for the other to win.
Le Ram - February 4, 2012
I think they are pretty impotent
This is absolutely the only thing that they could do. Stan is holding all the cards and all this is going to do is piss him off.
LARams72 - February 4, 2012
Stan is ....
…ahead of the game by offering to purchise the LA Dodgers. Two can play the game.
VETT - February 5, 2012
pun was totally intended, as it should've been.
And it is a card they played to probably keep them there, but to get an upper hand in negotiations.
sergey606 - February 4, 2012
Did you see DC's newest fanpost? Cracked me up!
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
It was awesome.
I guess jswirb can never be blocked huh?
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012
He can be, but that is only reserved for foul language, or demeaning behavior.
jswirb is only guilty of exaggerating his football knowledge, appalling spelling, and being self-possessed to the point that he’s absurd.
Believe me, we keep an eye on him and few others. They step over the line, and they’ll be shown the door.
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
Until then they make wonderful pets

am I one of the guys being watched?
sergey606 - February 4, 2012
Hell yeah! We all know about your dastardly plot to rule the world... and you killed Kenny! Bastard!!!! lol
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
I knew I was being watched!

sergey606 - February 4, 2012

We know your mission is to dig a tunnel from Alaska to Russia so Siberians can finally go to a nice beach! Devil! :-)
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
screw siberians; and alaska doesn't have nice beaches! well not by hawaii standards
sergey606 - February 4, 2012
Fair Enough..
Who put this site together may I ask? I love it!
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012
Ryan Van Bibber is the guy responsible for the success of TST. We writers have done our best to help give you guys diverse content too
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
Well thanks guys
You do a great job. Keep up the good work!
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
yeah specially you every two words you post a picture lol
Rammon105 - February 5, 2012
I agree....
As a St Louis county resident I want more than anything for the Rans to stay here….don’t mind paying more, etc. they’re my team! I just really hope the Rams and CVC get this done. BTW I joined a while back but just started to post more lately. This site is great! Thanks guys. Go Rams!
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
I HAVE A VERY BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS WHOLE SETUP!
We have a 2 and 14 record. The Patriots are in the Super Bowl. Now I want to see the Rams play in London BUT damn it don’t penalize the Rams by making them give up one of their home games next season. The lowly Rams have next to the worse won-loss record in 2011 so why the HELL should we have to give up a home game to play in England. Make the Patriots use one of their own damn home games for the London gig and give us a break, let the Rams use one of their away games. That would be the fair thing to do.
Does anyone out there agree with me?
Go Rams! (and I don’t mean go to London)
Nbr1RamFan - February 4, 2012
You raise a valid point. Maybe the home team show be based on W/L record. The NFL Draft is, so why not the London game too?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
***should***
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
Or atleast a coinflip....
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012
HaHa Agreed!!!
Ramzman18 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
So you have nothing current and /or relevant News
“TST has asked for additional information from the Rams and NFL UK, but, so far, has received no response. " Twitter is more informative.
Da Rookie - February 4, 2012
You don't think that when a team is asked a question, they drop everything to answer it, do you?
Why not head over to ESPN for some more Super Bowl re-hash, or go to the Rams pages ANYWHERE, and see if they have better front page content they we do? Since I read at least 10 different Rams pages a day, I’ll save you the trouble – NO ONE is better at keeping Rams fans informed than TST. NO ONE has guys like Ryan, 3k, ram_rod, VTRamFan, T. Ram, buckeyesfan, Brick Top, EddieP, Mike D that dissect every aspect of the Rams the way we do.
You want to see more? How about contributing in the Fanposts instead of baseless-ly sitting back, shaking your head?
Douglas M - February 4, 2012
Well played sir....
Well played
Rcoon1307 - February 4, 2012 via mobile
I think they are all "Bloggers"
Not one writer amongst them. Is that so hard to comprehend. Let us keep it simple. If they pay for you and a guest to go to the S-Bowwl you are a WRITER.
Da Rookie - February 4, 2012
Why don't you just stay off the site if you have so much contempt for the staff?
As far as I know you don’t have a website dedicated to the latest Rams news. So if these guys suck so bad why don’t you just start your own site? I just don’t understand what kind of pathetic person would waste their time going to a site they don’t like just to trash it.
RamFan284 - February 4, 2012
I'd agree with that
And not all “WRITERS” as you put it, will get to go to the superbowl. Everyone here produces a good product. Pretty sure they get 5 new likes on FB every single day; it’s growing cause people like it.
sergey606 - February 4, 2012
I actually like the staff
Especially Van Ram .Now for Sergey I may unfollow him on twitter again. LOL
Da Rookie - February 5, 2012
Then why are you here?
If you don’t like the post I put up, not to mention for no money at all, just the great experience I’m getting, then go somewhere else that can meet your football news needs. We provide a format where we dissect the news and since we only focus on one team, we can look deeper into the issues.
Brick Top - February 5, 2012
And if I'm not writing, then what the hell are all these words doing in my post? LOL
Brick Top - February 5, 2012
Thanks Doug
Appreciate that you defend our hard work
Brick Top - February 5, 2012
The Rams have always been treated like a " Republican " ....
…which is to say, NO <Respect, none, ect>
It has taken the starch out of me, these last few months. I think that we have hired one of the coaches with the biggest
bahlles,Hail to the Chief, long live J Fisher !!!!!!!!!!!
VETT - February 5, 2012
Reason I am here you ask?
I like you guys and your opinions. It doesn’t mean I have to believe. You guys(Bloggeres) take everything around the net and sum it up. i LIKE THAT! Saves me time. but to say your a writer and break a story is a whole different beast.(Peter King I Like). There is a difference, granted in today’s world is getting bluuuuuurrrreeeed…
Da Rookie - February 5, 2012
Peter King is an asshat of the highest order.
The only good part about King is Big Daddy Drew’s weekly takedown of his MMQB at Kissing Suzy Kolber.
FailureDrill - February 5, 2012 via Android app
Being a writer has nothing to do with breaking stories
that’s what a reporter does
Brick Top - February 5, 2012
Really so being beat "writer" means nothing.
mBeat w
Da Rookie - February 5, 2012
There is an increasingly blurred line between writers and reporters
There are what you call “reporters” who actually do the digging and interviewing to find out the latest news. Then there are the writers, who write about the report in the paper, on the web, or whatever other media outlet. The confusing part is that some reporters are writers, which is where the confusing part comes in. Some the “beat” writers you speak of do much of their own reporting. But even if the guys on here got the info from another source who first broke the news, it doesn’t mean they’re not writers, just not reporters. That’s just what I got out of it all anyway. Hopefully that made at least some sense, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong on any of this.
RamFan284 - February 6, 2012
That is one of the most correct statements I've ever read
