2012 NFL Draft: Robert Griffin III's Pro Day Changed to March 21st

In an effort to placate teams who have a vested interest in seeing both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III perform at their respective schools' pro days (read: maybe the Colts, but not really anyone), Baylor has moved their pro day up to from the 22nd to the 21st of March.

While the scheduling conflict wasn't a big deal, the Rams need a big day from RGIII on the 21st to solidify his value as being deserving of trading up to the second pick overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. There's nothing to suggest that won't happen, but the Rams need his workout to cement his status as the second best prospect overall as well as being worth mortgaging a handful of picks for.

The most obvious candidates continue to be the Browns and Redskins, but it's still early in the process. If RGIII hits his combine interviews out and continues to impress during his pro day, it can only help the Rams.

Of course there's more to enjoy at the pro days than just Luck and RGIII, but the most immediate concern is finding a buyer for that second pick.

Still holding out that bit of hope

That Indy takes RGIII as their man. I can already hear Shanahan and Snyder drooling all over the floor as they try to trade up for Luck at #2.

my expectations for what we (should) get would go WAAAAAAAAAY up
lol lately rams news had been so boring

rg 3 pro day reschedualed. lloyd will not get a franchise tag. cortland finnegan far away from resigning. like fuuuuuuuuuck i wanna here something interesting like james laurinitas ate a kid. that would be cool.

Stay tuned! Lots coming up with the Combine this week
Did you get my email?
I read one yesterday? Did you send another?
yea, i agree

I’d love to hear that our best defensive player is a cannibal, and will miss the 2012 season. Injuries just aren’t enough these days…

in other news

Steven Jackson claims that he had a delicious lunch today and that he very full; hope to be back to eating by dinner.

Gotta agree with him on that! Lately its been a downward spiral on the news note! Ill hold u to it that things pick up douglas because it seems that during the weekends, most of the authors nest and prepare for the upcoming

I'll disagree, respectfully

I’m sure that this is a lot of optimism on my part, but we just cleaned house in regards to GM/Coaching, and I think we’re getting a lot of credit for those hires. I’m sure the response will always go to ‘Fisher is an 8-8 coach,’ but at this point 8-8 is better than we’ve been in years, and I’ll take it! The surrounding cast doesn’t have such a shabby resume, either

We picked up some young players last year, that didn’t necessarily pan out how we’d like, but they’re young and we should still expect productivity. We stand a chance of getting a bevy of draft picks this year, which could be the best WR and LT prospects in the draft. I can hear my optimism gaining momentum at this point!

We’re also in the talks of top tier FA’s. Am I skeptical? Sure! We don’t always win the FA period, but the Skins do, and they’re chastised for it annually. We could also cut some dead weight this offseason and free up some money for……wait for it……productive players. Lastly, we’ve got AN S-TON of NFL experience picking for us in this years FA and draft, and for that reason I’m stoked!

Other than some PED talk, I haven’t heard anything bad since……….well……….jswirb

Trust me.

The combine is like Super Bowl kick off for off season news. Maybe it’s overhyped but for some people it’s HUGE. I always look forward to it.

We all need a break at times. Best time for us is right before the Combine. Cut us a small break, OK?
I've lost track here

of who is being serious, who is kidding, and who is borderline mentally ill.

Are people seriously digging on the authors around here for lack of news? Are you supposed to start pulling front office factoids out of your asses, authors?

Was he agreeing that James Laurinaitis needs to be a cannibal because of the historically dead news cycle that occurs every february?

I’s confused.

Sorry that with my college schedule at U of I, that I can't take time to write as much
lol u totally missed my point
i would like to kno what sams upto

And others

They went to Afghanistan to visit the troops.
Assumes

Everyone is expecting Andrew Luck to be the #1 pick. And there have been the rumors for the several teams to try and trade the Rams for RG3 at the #2 pick. Has anyone heard rumors of teams thinking of trading the Colts for the #1 pick? The Colts should draft Luck and not even think of offers because I’m starting to doubt Peyton even plays a down again which would be really sad. But at some point if a team like Cleveland Gave their 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 1st and 2nd next year shouldn’t the Colts consider something like that?

3k with out a doubt you are TST's best college scout so I have a question for you.

Try to imagine all thirteen of the quarterbacks listed below coming out of college and entering the draft in the same year.

Now, how would you rank them based ONLY on their merits as a college QB, turning a blind eye on any of their performances in the NFL in order to make it fair to Andrew Luck and RGIII):

Andrew Luck
Robert Griffin III
Cam Newton
Jake Locker
Blaine Gabbert
Christian Ponder
Sam Bradford
Tim Tebow
Matthew Stafford
Mark Sanchez
Josh Freeman
Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco

The above QBs, other than Andrew Luck and RGIII, were all selected in the 1st round of the draft for the past five drafts.

Anyone else care to give it shot?

Go Rams!

Thanks for the praise, brother

Here’s my list as college prospects:

Luck
Bradford
Stafford
Newton
Griffin III
Ryan
Flacco
Locker
Sanchez
Ponder
Freeman
Gabbert
Tebow
