Ticket sales for the St. Louis Rams' 2012 game in London were delayed by technical difficulties today.

Technical difficulties have delayed the sale of general admission tickets for the St. Louis Rams "home" game against the New England Patriots at London's Wembley Stadium, according to Matt Jarvis, Senior Premium Seating Sales Executive with the Rams. General admission tickets were scheduled to go on sale today. Club seats went on sale Jan. 25. Anxious fans logging on to buy tickets this morning got a surprise that ticket sales had been suspended.

Given the back and forth on the Rams lease situation and the CVC's contention that the team was in violation of their lease on the Dome by moving home games, suspended ticket sales sure looked like the latest skirmish between the Rams and the CVC.

Ticket sales for the Rams' UK game are handled through the NFL UK. Their web site was down this morning, and still is as of this writing.

However, on Twitter, the NFL UK made no mention of technical difficulties delaying ticket sales. They did say that they were "still awaiting confirmation for win tickets will go on sale."

"... the Rams are not in charge of selling the tickets - the league is - so we have a very limited amount of information," Jarvis said in an email to TST. "We have inquired with the league and should get some kind of update soon regarding a timeline for the on sale."

The Rams announced the London games on Jan. 20, inciting a firestorm of negative press as fans reacted to the loss of a home game against the backdrop of the team's uncertain future in St. Louis. The CVC issued its statement that the team was in violation of its lease on Jan. 27, two days after the start of ticket sales for club seats for the UK game.

come on already..

this is seriously pissing me off.. I know the St. Louis-based fans hope this falls to the ground, but for a Danish fan of 15 years this is really annoying

They'll get it straightened out. I'm planning to make the London game
I'm not a season ticket holder but I have a question...

I know season ticket holders have to pay for all home games inclluding the pre-season games so tell me, if you are a season ticket holder do you have to pay for the game in London since it’s consideered a home game?
