Not to worry Cardinals fans, the red seats remain in the CVC's $124 million proposal for renovations to the Dome.
The color red looms large in the city of St. Louis. It is, after all, Cardinal red, the color of the city's favorite sons, the baseball Cardinals. As for the city's red-headed stepchild, the St. Louis Rams, their blue and gold colors just don't fetch the same kind of attention from area designers. Long a complaint among the last remnants of their fan base, visitors to the Dome have had to suffer the indignity of watching the Rams bungle scoring drives while their asses warmed hard red plastic seats.
The $124 million CVC proposal presented to the Rams on Wednesday, the first step in a lengthy negotiation process over the future of the Dome, included many things. Proposed upgrades included: more club seats, more suites, a video board visible from outer space and even a home away from home for pajama-clad bloggers and fantasy sports addicts cluelessly dubbed the "geek lounge."
But there in the background of the artist's renderings for the CVC proposal was a sea of red. The same red seats that sit vacant on Sundays in the fall were still there in the CVC's $124 million plan.
Marc Bulger photos, red seats ... it's possible that the CVC doesn't really know all that much about their layabout tenant that they're trying to keep.

Embarissing! It almost looks like they want us to leave? To leave those seats in is just idiotic !

That was my biggest complaint about the EJD
Going to the game with half Chief fans and seeing the empty red seats! If not for the announcer, might as well call it an away game.

NO RED SEATS
They disgust me. We are not Chief’s fans, nor Cardinals fans, and when the Dome is empty, it always looks like an away game.

Holy shit, Mike Karney's tweet:
Rams keeping Rock Gullickson as strength n conditioning coach is a big mistake..very insecure and throws players under the bus
sergey606 - February 2, 2012 via mobile
just seen that
Appreciate his honesty.
Infemous - February 2, 2012 via mobile
yeah but I wonder if he had something to do with the injuries
sergey606 - February 2, 2012
I don't see how they can keep the guy? At least some of last season's injuries has to be because of his workout programs?

I think in my personal opionian the civic center doesn't care about the Rams leaving
I mean why should they? it’s not like there winner’s and compared to the cardinal’s bring in less revenue. I think the only reason they may want to keep the Rams in town is for bragging right and money sure it less but its better then nothing and if Stan pushes to hard they just may say go ahead and beat it loser’s we’ll just put some one else in and it doesn’t have to be a football team. I don’t think moving to L.A. would be a smart move on Stans part he may have friends there but he’ll still have to give up a part of his control believe it or not friends are friends but business is business I also don’t think the dome will exactly be packed in L.A. just dying to see the Ram’s so he may actually lose money in addition to losing some control yeaa Stan would just love that.

Marc, huh?
Maybe that’s one of the many action shots of Kellen Clemens… or Mike Sims-Walker in the wildcat. Naw, it’s probably Marc, without a captains patch, so that tells you how old the image is.
UPDATE: If you Google Image search for “rams quarterback”… the fifth image is the Bulger pic. You just have to think like an idiot to Google like an idiot.

I know this comment has nothing to do with this story but I gotta bring it up...
How much longer do we need to look at this guy in a ski mask and underwear on this web site!!! If I say “OK, I get the message, I’ll watch when the program starts”, can you please stop the ads! I would be embarrased if I was at the library on the public computer and people could see over my shoulder. They’d think I was some kind of sicko!

We discussed this yesterday
On my Beavers blog there’s always “Ducks win the Rose Bowl” ads. I just want to shoot them.

I Literally Am in a Public Library
Think how I reacted when I finished my History 300 essay and decided to get my Rams fix when some pasty white dude in his undies popped up!! I had to use my body to shield it like some sort of pedophile!!

Wtf is wrong with the Rams organization
Going to London not realizing it breaks lease rules now this?
Looks like both sides have some serious business issues to address.

not to mention how awful the website and social media is.
The facebook page is a fuckin joke.
They really need to get with the times. Ram’s web presence and nous is shameful.
Infemous - February 2, 2012 via mobile
The only thing I've always hated about the dome is the read seats!!

lol this is ridiculous
It sounds minor but this means it should be the first thing to be changed.
Red seats are a fuckin joke. If they were yellow or even green itd be ok but red is a binary opposition from blue, so it doesn’t make the slightest bit of sense.
CHANGE THE SEAT COLOURS!!! First order of changes to the EJD will have to be that!

For anyone interested here is a video with what changes they proposed...

I am alittle disappointed, I was expecting them to replace some of the panels above the actual field with windows but they are only doing to side of the stadium. That was the one thing I was most excited about. The dome is way too dark and I dont think they windows they plan on putting in will help that much. Wish they would put windows directly above the field the whole length and width of it. That would completely change the whole feel of the dome.
