St. Louis Rams free agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd's agent made it quite clear that his client will be listening to all offers this spring.
St. Louis Rams free agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd would still like to play for Josh McDaniels, according to Tom Condon, his agent. He would also like to get paid said his agent.
Condon discussed his new client's free agent future with the Boston Herald on Thursday.

"If they [New England] have an interest they call up and tell you when free agency starts or they meet you at the combine or whenever," Condon told the Herald. "We both know what Brandon is. He's a smart, explosive receiver. He's a player who is going to get offers. He'd like to be with Josh. He'd also like to get paid. I think he'll be a player teams will be interested in."
Explosive, eh? That quality was one cited by the Rams' new general manager, Les Snead, in describing the kinds of players he prefers.
Earlier in the week, the Herald noted the icy relationship between the Patriots and Tom Condon. New England has not signed a player represented exclusively by Condon since a contract dispute over Ben Watson in 2004. Condon made it clear in Thursday's report that he was more than willing to listen to offers from the Patriots.
As you can see from Condon's quote above, the Patriots are not the only team he expects to be in contact with concerning Lloyd.
Rams COO Kevin Demoff said on Wednesday that the team was indeed interested in re-signing Lloyd. St. Louis traded what became a fifth-round pick for Lloyd at the 2011 trade deadline in an effort to salvage some sliver of hope for a season that was already hopeless by October. Despite the misfortunes of the offense, Lloyd still managed to catch 51 passes for 683 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games with the Rams.

VJax or Colston please
Is we gonna pay someone, give me younger and not as “only good in one offense”
King Sam Rules! - February 16, 2012 via mobile
He is good
But he isn’t all that, I agree if he is gonna come out and say this stuff publicly then let the Pats have him, plenty if other guys that are not one season wonders that are worth “the money”, also I think it’s mistake because it is pretty obvious mr. Stan is serious about building a winner and things are turning around for this franchise.
LARams72 - February 16, 2012 via mobile
F him
He won’t do nogood nowhere else. I’m with u give me younger. And one more thing I got banned one time last year for saying spags has no balls will I still get banned agin for say that spags had no balls?
Ramzman18 - February 16, 2012 via mobile
Agree "Colston"
Personally If we are going to pay a FA WR specially long term then lets go out and pick somebody up that is younger. Yes I like Floyd but as stated if he does want to get paid which I don’t blame him then lets way out our options.
Also another note more so towards the draft which we all have been talking about. Some probably already know about this but for me it’s a first. Either way this is an interesting link that sheds a lot of light in concern with drafting.:

Let him follow his girl The pats we will be ok. Doesnt sound like he wants to be with us so dueces!
kevio3000 - February 16, 2012 via Android app
Why pay him big money....
When he has been mediocre at best in any other offense than Josh McDaniels
Rcoon1307 - February 16, 2012 via mobile
i dont think we are reading the same thing
where does it say he doesnt want to play in st louis? this is an agent talking up his client (doing his job). lloyd is a solid wr who hasnt really ever been given a big contract. he did get a big signing bonus from washington, but in his 8 year career hes only made $10 million. hes at a place now where he can possibly match his career earnings in a couple years.
also, the quote “he’d like to be with josh. hed also like to get paid.” says to me that he will not be going to new england….sure hed like to play for mcdaniels and in new england, but hes going to go where the money is. most likely that will not be new england.
itsvon - February 16, 2012
But in sure he knows that we can't pay him
And why is his agent playing mind games with josh. aren’t we the team that’s said we want him back?
Ram_Redemption - February 16, 2012 via mobile
Josh ( shitehead ) is not calling the shots in NE.
Billy Bella-Cheat is! He’s a cheap son of a b – - – h ! I believe he won’t pay him what he wants. What goes around comes around.
VETT - February 17, 2012
Signing with Condon probalby killed our chances.
I like Lloyd and thought we had about a 50/50 shot of signing him before. With NE at 40% and the rest of the field 10%. Signing with Condon makes that NE 10%, us 25%, rest of the field 65%.
With all the other free agent WR’s out there this yearI figured his price would be reasonable and we’d get him somewhere between 3 and 5 mill a year. Now he’s gonna be looking for more like 6 mil a year.
Meachem is just as good, maybe better and can probalby be had for that. Garcon as well. Not to mention the big name guys we could sign for a little more.
If it were up to me we’d trade with Cleveland in the draft for their 2 first rounders (anything else is just icing) and then sign Kalil/Reiff/Claiborne with that first pick and give the second first rounder to Pittsburgh as compensation for the big contract we just gave Mike Wallace.

Agent is playing his cards
Rams brothers, I agree with everybody here. If he is going to demand VJax type of money, we should pass but I also think he knows that the Rams are going to be competitive after a regime change and he will definitely evaluate what the Rams have to offer. He has stated that he is open to staying and I would definitely welcome that if he demands a reasonable amount of money. Remember that his agent wants to get as much money as possible for his client. He will throw smoke screens so teams raise their offers.
abiRam - February 16, 2012
Get paid in NE?
That’s rich. NE doesn’t pay their players unless their name is Brady. It’s a bluff. $4-5M/yr for 3 years or let him walk.

His agent's name kills me.
But yeah, looks like he might be gone. Stevie J is younger :)

Stevie ftw!
Ram_Redemption - February 16, 2012 via mobile
Lloyd is smart if you ask me
Your only good in one offense.we kno brandon, we kno.
Ram_Redemption - February 16, 2012 via mobile
Honestly...
I get that this is probably just his agent talking him up to get more money, but it does come off as a slap to the face for the fans in STL… I mean money is good and all but come on! You gotta have your heart in the team too… Lloyd could excel being on the Rams.. He could be the star of this team and he would see his name and his jersey on highlight reels… If he went to a team like the Pats, he’d be lost in the suffle of other big name WRs… Cmon Lloyd… Do your fans here in STL a favor, and tell us that you’d love to stay here and play for Fisher and for the Rams!!! That’s what we want… But if you keep saying stuff like you’d like to follow McDaniels and that you want to get paid more, then hit the road jack!
RamsIchor - February 16, 2012
What does he owe the Rams??
He only played in 11 games here and he didn’t chose to be here. He was traded here.
Brick Top - February 16, 2012
Very true....
But does he want to be another Owens and Moss just without the glammer to his name?? Meaning… Does he want to have all of the attitude and different jerseys only in 5 years NOONE will remember his name?? If he stays in STL, people are going to remember Brandon Lloyd (if he has a good end to his career), and it won’t just be Rams fans… Honestly, maybe I’m dreaming here, but it’d be great to beging building a new GSOT regime. :)
RamsIchor - February 16, 2012
I said it once I'll say it again
The Rams are going to have to overpay and pray to get any decent talent to come here. What top tier competitive player is going to come to a 2-14 team, coaching change or not? Colston isn’t leaving New Orleans to come to St. Louis. He’ll take a discount to stay with the team he’s been with his entire career, which also happens to have the right pieces in place to make another SB run next season. Until the Rams are consistently north of .500 every season they’re going to have problems attracting big named talent here. Don’t believe me? Look at what happened during free agency last fall? And thats when the team had a 7-9 record going for it from the previous season.
Da Rams! - February 16, 2012
Free agency last fall...
I think that speaks wonders especially when you have a head coach like Spaggs and a GM like Devaney…
RamsIchor - February 16, 2012
Free agents to St. Louis
“Cash is King” so if the Rams can shell out the cash, players will come to the Rams in free agency. Having Fisher as a coach makes the Rams credible and I would think that a lot of players would want to play for Fisher.
Mister T - February 16, 2012
If he want to follow Josh that much
then let him go I want player who wanto play for the Rams but I still Think we still have a chance for him but we must over pay money to keep him
Luckyz - February 16, 2012
he said it himself "McD's offense if all about winning one on one match-ups"
…if you can do that, you can play in any offense, so I’m not buying that he’s only good in his
sergey606 - February 16, 2012
Lloyd
All players want to get paid and the entire contract isn’t guaranteed so Lloyd’s position is understood. I say, make Lloyd an offer but don’t wait on his acceptance to chase another free agent like Colston. DJax will probably be franchise tagged, VJax may re-sign with the Chargers so let’s go after Colston as well as Lloyd. New England has to pay Welker so they may not have the money for Lloyd. Lloyd has seen what happened to Ochocinco and all of the balls going to the TE’s and decide that the Rams are the best option for him.
Mister T - February 16, 2012

Make him a fair offer
warriorsrise - February 17, 2012
I think its amazing
NE hasn’t signed with a player represented by Condon since 2004. They hate this guy.
fearsomefoursum - February 16, 2012
PLZ GO
As i have been saying from day one. He is not a differnce maker when catches the ball he goes down faster then a lady of the night. Also i say buyer beware on J.Blackmon look at his catches all the DB’s play 10 yards off the guy then he burns them with a slant. How much talent did he face playing in the big 12 its not like he lined up against SEC DEF. Cant wait to see what he runs @ the combine probaly a high 4.5
SHAWN .B - February 16, 2012
i hate that fucking argument.
by your (and a lot of people’s view) only 1 conference in the WHOLE country produces good players. I call bullshit.
sergey606 - February 16, 2012
double bull shite !
