Wide receiver Nick Miller of the St. Louis Rams is the team's second receiver to be suspended for PEDs.
So much for those four pillars. St. Louis Rams wide receiver and punt returner Nick Miller received a four-game suspension for using performance enhancing substances, reports Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch.
Miller is the second player from the 2011 Rams to be suspended for PEDs. Fellow receiver Austin Pettis earned a four-game suspension in December 2011, missing the last two games of the season. Pettis' suspension will bleed over into the first two games of the regular season.
The Rams added Miller in October, mostly as a replacement on returns for Danny Amendola. Fans remember Miller for his 88-yard punt return touchdown in Week 12, a game the Rams ultimately lost, in part because they punted to Patrick Peterson, who also returned a punt for a touchdown, something he did with some frequency against the Rams last year.
Miller is under contract for the 2012 season, for a minimal salary. Making the team this year was already something of a stretch, to say the least, especially with Amendola and others returning to health.
Video of Miller's punt-return touchdown, the longest since the franchise moved to St. Louis, after the jump.

This states a good case
for using PED’s! Pump it up, its all good!
OakCityRam - February 15, 2012
This one bothers me..
I by no means condone PEDs and I’ve made my opinion on Pettis known but I hope this doesn’t cost Miller his chance. I liked him. He’s seen the endzone.. Best of luck to him.

PED's are in
tatoo ink.
OakCityRam - February 15, 2012
Not a good thing...
to show a new regime along with a thin resume. Making the team just got a little harder.
Da Rams! - February 15, 2012
Good Lord
You would think we could of at least pulled a few more wins. If you are going to use PED then at the least for the fans make it worth our while.
BurnoutJoeB. - February 15, 2012
Besides that one return he hasn't done much, seems it's the mediocre players getting caught
I give it a week till we read:
“BREAKING: J. King suspended for using PEDs”
sergey606 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Haha no amount of PEDs can help J. King out
dude just flat out sucks
EddieP - February 15, 2012
Somehow not only did he get on an NFL roster, but STARTED!
Must have been using something good
sergey606 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
That it explain it.
King thought he was taking PEDs when in reality he was on LSD during games.
Da Rams! - February 15, 2012
Gilyard sold it to him, said it helps.
sergey606 - February 15, 2012
how can they test him in the off season?
i’d like to think PED’s are permissible but only if your not caught- —Fisher Law
DevsLaRams - February 15, 2012
Test was probably during regular season
but results are now coming out. After positive test, they send it to a independent lab to retest. It takes time.
Brick Top - February 15, 2012
what's the statute of limitations of "pillars" snark?
jroman - February 15, 2012
+/- .673 seasons
Eric Nagel - February 15, 2012
PED – Parole eligibility date
OakCityRam - February 15, 2012
Its a shame
If you do PEDs at least have a reason. Don’t suck before taking them and then still suck after words, our receivers even sucks at cheating!
RG31 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Take them because they are desperate to stay on the team
Brick Top - February 15, 2012
I agree
this is exactly why there is a market for this stuff. Off season winter workouts, and trying to get an edge. There’s probably more PEDs flowing through the marginal players now than at any other time of the year.
dbcouver - February 15, 2012
Yeah people always thinks it's the good players taking them but it's actually the bad players who are more prone to it
Brick Top - February 15, 2012
+1
BurnoutJoeB. - February 15, 2012
No tolerance. Dump Pettis and Miller
JHaier - February 15, 2012
Miller is getting dumped 95% sure
We’ll address return needs this offseason; Pettis is walking a thin line
sergey606 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
pettis isn't worthy of the rams jersey
you guys ever see this guy close up? hes a slum lazy good for nothing loser.
joemammaz - February 15, 2012
Mike Karney is the best, especially on twitter
He’s filling out applications for NFL broadcasting bootcamp, hope he gets in!
sergey606 - February 15, 2012 via mobile

DCRamFan - February 15, 2012

Ramzman18 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Nick Miller
just signed this week, on the return and he’s got a good one!
Miller picking up blocking…!
He’s gonna go all the way….!!
Touchdown Rams!!!
A shame we still lost.
Joe Mazzi - February 15, 2012
WTF jeff fisher
cut pettis and miller now. we cant have this!
joemammaz - February 15, 2012
Oy vey
This doesn’t bother me as much as Pettis.
I don’t think I’m alone in saying that I’ve developed this unfounded (ok, maybe a little) hatred for Pettis. The guy seems like he’s all talk, plus he’s a drama queen on twitter. I personally got blocked by him when I called him out on something haha.
Horcrux7 - February 15, 2012
Stick a folk in him
he’s done!
fearsomefoursum - February 15, 2012
It doesn't piss me off as much as pettis because Miller has actually done something.
