We witnessed a huge shocker yesterday when Broncos GM Douglas M leapfrogged half the league and picked Justin Blackmon with the third overall pick. With that said, ocruz1, GM of the Browns, has made his pick:
Analysis after the jump

This is a tough pick to make. I think Cleveland is going to try and make a play for Robert Griffin, hell or high water. With him gone, it complicates things quite a bit.
The problem I have with this pick is Joe Thomas. Where do you put him? Where do you put Kalil (who is seen as more of an LT)? Ocruz1 is right; Matt Kalil has arguably the most value here. But the Browns are in a unique position because they have another pick in the first round. They could use that pick to trade up, down, and it becomes a very good value when players start to fall at the end of the first round. Most importantly, the Cleveland Browns have the opportunity to reach a bit because they have another pick.
I will say that it is an interesting pick, and you can't fault ocruz1 for going for the BPA at this point. However, I think that need outweighs talent at this point, even more so given the Browns have another pick in the first. The Browns now have a very young, very talented group of OT's. Hopefully Colt McCoy is up to the task of leading the offense.
There you have it folks! The fourth pick is done! If you missed any of the previous picks, or want to see what trades have been made so far, check out the full schedule.
Also, two quick things. 1) If you are still trying to trade and can't get a hold of who you want to trade with, email me. I can help you get in touch with them. 2) Who is up for making (and editing) a BPA chart? It would be linked in every Community Mock post in the future.

Rcoon1307 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
It's a good pick and I love Kalil
but I think if this happened in real life, they take Claiborne or Richardson.
Josh Wehrle - February 14, 2012
Exactly my thoughts
Eric Nagel - February 14, 2012
Claiborne is who I would of went with, but we all know that trade Doug did won't happen
Brick Top - February 14, 2012
Would you take Claiborne if he makes it past the Bucs?
Josh Wehrle - February 14, 2012
Hellz Yeah
He be the top player on my board right now
Brick Top - February 14, 2012
Thank God lol
I like Reiff and all, but Claiborne is my ideal trade down target.
Josh Wehrle - February 14, 2012
I agree
But what if — IF — the Rams land Finnegan before the draft? Do you still take Claiborne? Then cut Bartell and allow Claiborne to compete with Fletcher for the #2 spot to ease him in?
Joe Mazzi - February 14, 2012
I think we need to try to get Bartell to restucture anyway.
If he refuses, we should probably cut him, even though that would kill me. I think even if we get Finnegan AND keep Bartell, Claiborne should still be the pick. He’s incredible in coverage.
Josh Wehrle - February 14, 2012
If the Browns are smart here,
they trade Kalil to someone who could desperately use him, and try again with their first pick
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
That was my first thought
this pick is like us taking RGIII. There isn’t any room for 2 highly paid OTs under anyones cap, nor on their O-line. With Thomas on the left the best RT is still on the board, and frankly, who couldn’t use Claiborne. I know they got Haden, too but CBs are much more interchangeable than OTs.
dbcouver - February 14, 2012
I was surprised to see that the Browns ranked 2nd in the NFL
in opposing passing yd’s per game. Clearly, they’ve got more dire needs than a CB. Not saying that Claiborne isn’t a damn stud, but the offense is atrocious. They have no RB, they have no WR’s and they have no QB. My first pick would be offense, but definitely not O-Line
Someone ‘blow him away with an offer’ so that he has a player he can use. For a guy touted as the best LT in years, putting him on a team where he’ll play RT just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, given the other glaring issues they have on offense
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
Trust me...
I tried
Rcoon1307 - February 14, 2012 via mobile
haha.....didn't take?
or didn’t respond?
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
He never responded...
But he obviously saw it bc he mentioned it in the post. In real life he would have gotten fired for not accepting the trade
Rcoon1307 - February 14, 2012 via mobile
which squad do you have, and when do you pick?
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
I have the steelers at 24
Rcoon1307 - February 14, 2012 via mobile
This honestly could be awesome if they are sold on another qb like Foles for the second round
King Sam Rules! - February 14, 2012 via mobile
The AFC North could become terrifyingly better in the next few years.
Pitt and Baltimore just need to get some youth on defense or they’ll start slipping behind.
Joe Mazzi - February 14, 2012
The Browns are good at limiting the passing game of their opponents
but just as atrocious as we are at stopping the run. They’d be better served addressing that front 7
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
and unfortunately, like our team over the past few
the defense is far superior to the offense. They need RG3 and they’d better give us an s-load to get him, damnit!
DCRamFan - February 14, 2012
irsay said peyton can stay
If the deal us restructured
Ram_Redemption - February 14, 2012 via mobile
Your damn right the I (Steelers) made you a good trade offer....
Jesus I can’t believe you didn’t take that. And now your still listening to Kalil trade offers? Good lord lol
Rcoon1307 - February 14, 2012 via mobile
I guess if you need a BPA chart I can do that let me know what you'd like to see and I'll have it for you.
dbcouver - February 14, 2012
Check your email
Josh Wehrle - February 14, 2012 via mobile
OK I did
you too. Sounds like horse shit to me
dbcouver - February 14, 2012
?
Is that idea stupid? I didn’t mean for it to be dumb…I just thought someone would like doing something like that so that everyone could see who might be picked….I’m not that good at those sorts of things anyway.
I apologize if it sounded like I was trying to hand off something or just be a lazy shit.
Eric Nagel - February 14, 2012
Oh shit Eric ...totally different subject
Naw it’s totally cool take a look at what I posted below it was no problem. Man, dude I’m sorry my post above is a response to a convo between me and Buckeye on another Live mock over at MTD.

Charlie Pankey - February 15, 2012

Him dropping to 4 is unheard of
sergey606 - February 14, 2012

Joe Mazzi - February 14, 2012 via mobile

Haaaaaaaa gota love TST and A1 mock by the way
Ramzman18 - February 14, 2012 via mobile
Hey you could be one of those narrator guys
You know, like Ryan Seacrest
dbcouver - February 15, 2012
Freakin'A
I think iv found my calling
Ramzman18 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Haha...am I the desperate one???
Rcoon1307 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
4$#@w
Ramzman18 - February 15, 2012 via mobile
Gave it a D,
both Thomas and Kalil are natural left tackles so I wouldn’t make this pick with a premier LT on hand.
douchiedude - February 15, 2012
that was my grade too
dbcouver - February 15, 2012
Agree that Kalil is no fit for the
Browns. Given the first three selections I think they would go for Richardson. I can’t imagine that they are going to war with Hillis next year after the issues in 2011.
RamTeaPartier - February 15, 2012
Alright Eric I gotta google doc 3 pages worth (first ones my 3 round mock draft I did a couple weeks ago
But the second page is your big board and the 3rd page is a running record of trades and picks. Just float your cursor over the little boxes with the little tabs in the top right corners for trade details. I gave you editing powers so you can easily keep up. I can keep it up if you want. Anyhoo the link in the above comment gets everyone over there to view.
