Yesterday we saw mgaines4, GM of the Colts, select Andrew Luck. The second pick was traded to the Redskins (a deal swung by Charlie Pankey, the Rams GM, and our own Brick Top who is representing the Redskins) and it's now two-for-two on quarterbacks.

Brick Top kept it short and sweet with his reasoning for drafting Robert Griffin. It's pretty obvious that the Redskins need a QB. It's also obvious that Shanahan would like to keep his job, something that would be very tough to do if they stuck with Rex Grossman.
The Redskins gave up a lot to move up here (which is why I graded the pick is an A rather than a A+), but Griffin is an amazing prospect. He has a great arm, has great accuracy and lest you forget, he can run the hell out of the ball. However, I think the biggest two things you need to look at are his progression throughout the years he has played, along with his intelligence. Those attributes are what separate him from other prospects and that is the reason why the Redskins moved up.

Sorry I thought this was a two round draft.
Not to claim the Rookie Card too loudly hear but I agreed to the Trade not out of desperation but in the understanding that we are only doing the first two rounds. So Next years pick is all just for discussion. I don’t think the Rams move with this offer in real draft. Which is probably why they end up picking Second and the Viking get the move.

HA! Little does anyone know, I have found the greatest receiver of all time...
He’s 7’2" tall, 272 lbs, and runs a 2.7 second 40 yard dash (he only has to take like 5 steps!). He’s never dropped a pass in his life, and in his senior year, he caught 304 passes for 6644 receiving yards.
Being the student of the game that I am, I found him at the University of Phoenix on their online football team. Can I find a sleeper or what! You Mock draft guys have taught me well! :-)

In regards to the Rams, this pick gets an F
1, 2 this year and a 2 next year? If the Skins brought that deal to the table and we took it, we lose. Hell, if the Browns or Fins are in the market, they could easily top that.
Bare minimum (IMO) is a combination of 4 picks. 1, 2 this year and 1, 3 next year would get me interested, but a 1, 2, 4 this year and a 1, 3 next year would probably have me willing to pull the trigger.
Let’s face it, if the skins come out of this free agency period still desperate, they need this move more than any of the other 31 teams in the league. Their QB position has been a wasteland for years. The last promising QB they had was Jason Campbell who was the definition of league average. I just don’t see how the Skins don’t make the move and aren’t desperate with it either if all things remain the same.
