The first week of Playoff Fantasy Football is done. There were upsets a-plenty with Denver nixing the Steelers in a thriller, and Atlanta losing to a suddenly resurgent New York Giants. Some players lived up to expectations: Calvin Johnson, Dree Brees, Adrian Foster... While others just plain never showed up: Andy Dalton, Michael Turner, Mike Wallace...This next round will be telling, in that every team will have their primary draft picks to build their teams. Rodgers and Brady will add their weight to FF teams that fell short week #1.
Team TST's roster will be set by Sergey606 (and his girlfriend) this week, and he'll get to suffer from my wide receiver black out during the draft. He'll have Wes Welker, Hakeem Nicks, James Jones, Lee Evans and Jacoby Jones to choose from this week. Brick Top lost his two top QBs, and will be playing Alex Smith for the rest of the playoffs. Mike D is down to a single TE, but his deep WR draft should carry him forward nicely. Then there is Ryan... His team featured Adrian Foster and Demarius Thomas, both of whom had outstanding weeks.
Here are this week's results, as well as the rosters of each team (after player deletions) so you can chime in on team picks for this week...

Team TST
QBs – Brees, Flacco, Flynn
WRs – Welker, Nicks, Jones(GB), Jacoby Jones, Lee Evans
RBs – Rice, Ivory, McGahee, Tate

Wow
nothing like getting a good ass whooping…but I did have to pick LAST in EVERY round
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
Quit whining! lol
Just because 8 of your top 10 picks are out this week… er, uh… GO ALEX SMITH! lol
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Now not only do I have a shitty QB
but because the Steelers decided to lose, I only have the Saints!! Also, I only have 10 players left!!! I’m fucked!!
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
AND ONES JOHN KUHN!!!
Next year, do the person in 4th place a favor and don’t make them pick last EVERY ROUND.
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
Honestly, I don't think the picking 4th is that bad. You just took a run of picks on teams that lost this week
I’ll switch it around next year, but you’ll probably win the Weekly picks next year, so… :-)
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
But that was because all the bye week players were gone
I had to pick players based on what teams I though would win and I though Bengals and Steelers would win.
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
You passed on Rice,, Jordy Nelson, Welker, Sproles, Foster and Megatron to take Gronk and Gore
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
I took Gronk because of the TDs, but I though I was picking next so I could just get Rice too
Also I thoght Foster and MEgatron were both out after one week and that Gore was a better pick than Nelson Welker and Sproles, should of went Sproles, but ah well….I lost, I’m over it already
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
It's still fun though. How wild would it be if SF make the SB and you win because everyone else's players are out?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Eh...I rather lose and have the Niners get stomped by the Saints
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
My SF hate is turned off right now. I'd love to see an NFC West team win the SB
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
My hate for the Niners and the Pats will never die and the Shithawks for that matter
Brick Top - January 9, 2012
...and think how easy it will be to pick your team this week?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Check out team TST!
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
How smart am I for picking Brees! Just kidding! I listened to you and the others because this isn't just my team
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Haha! Nah, it came down to crunch time, and you were clutch!
Highest scoring team last week. Brees and Rice are going to take Team TST to the promise land
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
We are really weak at WR if NYG doesn't upset GB
Would you start Jones at WR against NYG?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
you have to play 3 WR's?
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
To answer your question, yes
I certainly wouldn’t play Jacoby against a well rested Ravens D at home
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Evans against the Texans D?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Bouldin gonna be back?
If not, I’d go Evans. Otherwise stick with Welker and Nicks every week, and fill in that 3rd spot based on matchup
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
McGahee or Ivory at #2 RB?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
NE's D is terrible. I'd go McGahee next week
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Me too
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Then you, my friend, are a FF genius!
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Ravens or SF D?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Ravens ALL playoffs long
you’ll reap the rewards of a cornucopia of INT’s, sacks, fumbles. SF is going to run into an offense that embarrasses them
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Kicker?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Tough one
I feel like just on extra points alone, you’d have to go Kasay. But it’s a toss up between him and Tynes
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Kasay?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Yup
I’m guessing he has to kick a field goal or two this week, because they won’t walk over the 49ers like they did the Falcons, but I hope they crush the Whiners
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
Again, Tynes would be a good play too
You think there’s any chance NYG pull that game off? Is there Defense good enough to stop GB’s ability to score at will?
DCRamFan - January 9, 2012
I think GB has at least 3 FG tries during the game, same with the Saints
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Second place...
bitches!
Ryan Van Bibber - January 9, 2012
HA! Thomas was a great pick
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Mike D's team is the team to beat. He had an incredible draft
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
So who gets the start: Brady or Tebow?
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
brady
sergey606 - January 9, 2012
Ryan is the President of the "Tebow Forever" fan club, so you never know... :-)
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Doug, how's this?
QBs – Brees
WRs – Welker, Nicks, Jones(GB)
RBs – Rice, McGahee
TEs – Grahamm, Finley, Davis
K – Gostkowski
DEF – Ravens
sergey606 - January 9, 2012
Which TE? Only one can play each week
It’s your line up, so what I think doesn’t matter. I do think you may want to re-think the kicker though
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
Graham, sorry
sergey606 - January 9, 2012
Cool! I think TE is the strongest part of the whole team. We have 3 great TEs to choose from...
I’d take Graham too. He’s on fire, and Brees love the kid
Douglas M - January 9, 2012
