We would beat the saints if we were playing in this game.....
nah

they went on a “omg we lost to the rams now we gonna bust every one else’s ass” streak

Yeah but we would totally still win.
Yeah, they don't want none of this
I still cant believe we beat these guys
I don't really care about the Lions but ESPN's whole "Drew Brees saved New Orleans" thing makes me enjoy it when they lose
If the Lions can get to Brees they can win

I Think we proved that in our win. Run the ball early and often, then you have Calvin Johnson our there, I could see them winning this game, but I want to see packers vs saints..

60 points between those teams.
I think it will be close, and then on a potential game winning drive

Staffird breaks his shoulder somehow on a hail Mary throw to Megatron. Saints win

Bold prediction.
To be honest (not really) I just put $100 dollars on "stafford getting hurt at some point" before this season started

So I figure I’ll stick to my fictitious guns

You gotta plant the seed somewhere
What?
The seed of him getting injured
Oh, yeah

Its unavoidable. Maybe the Lions will win simply cause he doesn’t get hurt in this game, so they need to keep playing so he can. Maybe that’s how the universe works. I had no clue what you were talking about planting the seed

Sometimes you have to wake up destiny - it gets kind of busy

fucking with other things.

Lions recover fumble.
That's not what you want.
For a second

I was just terrified that Sproles’ knee was done for.

Seriously

Is there anyone who thinks the Saints trading up for Ingram was anywhere close to an acceptable decision? If this team wasn’t this good, that’s the kind of move that gets GMs fired.

Yep

But that’s why it didn’t. They are good enough they can afford to do it

Thomas/Sproles/Ivory is more than fine

No real need for Ingram

They could have used another LB instead of Ingram
Or a linemen
Right, that's what I would have done

Even if Sproles is having kind of a monster year (6.9 YPC!)

No one could have or would have

predicted the impact that Sproles has made.

Still didn't need Ingram
So...............

In the second quarter and we only have 14 points

I expected that many by the second minute
Don't worry. It'll be 28 - 21 by half time
If lithe Lions win this

I give up picking games

Giants, Steelers
Smash concept on that TD to Calvin Johnson

Didn’t recognize it? Go back and read this.

The differences:

Megatron is MEGATRON and Avery is AVERY. And every single one of there weapons is better than the ones the Rams had (we are talking Rams Laurent, not Cowboys).

same play design

that’s all I’m saying. Every team in the NFL runs the smash in some version

Oh I know

I just felt like pointing out the continual failure of this franchise to get skill players on offense outside SJax

Am I the only one who thinks:

That even though Gregg Williams doesn’t have the best defense in the league year after year, he seems like a guy who could be a potentially great head coach? Not saying I’d give him the job here (cause we need an established guy), but if I were an established Franchise like the eagles and Reid falls flat again next year after an off season with all these guys, I’d give Williams a serious look

that's a fumble

good call by the refs – should hold up after review if Saints throw challenge flag

smart of Payton to

save that timeout

im sure brees probably told him to save it as well
could be

then again, might have told him just to chug a Spark

brees seems to have the worst ads for a guy of his caliber
but shouldn't have whistled it dead

would’ve been a TD for the Lions

omg wheres the flag
nah, I'm ok with that

finishing the play as the whistle blew.

would u agree if SUH on Jersey

there would have been laundry on the field

exactly

shouldn’t matter who it was. To me, that’s not a foul regardless of the name on the back of the jersey. Now the logo on the shoulders, that’s different. If it was the 49ers or the Seahawks, that’s a damn flag. HEHEHEHE

So many players in this game I saw in person

Stafford – HS
Sproles – college
Chase Daniel – HS
Shaun Rogers – college
Brandon Pettigrew – HS
Chris Harris – college

Jeebus…

unlucky

GREAT coverage by Berry on that play.

this seems weird

not nearly enough scoring, and brees is looking like he is gonna lose it

NO

playing a VERY Shurmurish playbook. Lions doing a great job covering intermediate and a deep, and Brees dumping off over and over and over

i mean by brees standards its not going well

it just feels like the saints cant get the momentum play

agreed

and by NO, I mean New Orleans…not “no”

ok

i thought i was getting yelled at haha

still doesnt feel like they have no momentum

and if it gets overturned, things feel like they are piling on for the saints

*still feels like they have no momentum
last two plays

if one of those is a pick, it would just all be going wrong for the saints

YEAH Josh is HISTORY
Forgot about the overtime rules

Feels dumb to have a system different for playoffs and the regular season. Hockey’s that way too.

Saints get the ball.

Touchdown Brees to Graham. Saints take the lead and never look back. Game.

Wrong receiver but looking good on that prediction so far
Lions look good

I am a Chi-Bulls fan so I do not sat this arbitrarily. Lions do look real good.

Saints CANNOT be upset as a wildcard

Two years in a row. At least I hope not.

How much you got on this?
Zero

I just will not go 0-2 on the first day of playoffs.

Ok haha
by* a wildcard
I don't really see how the two connect

I go heat and I can admit the lions are good. Whats are you saying?

I like Doncaster Rovers

and I can admit, the Rams are shit

F the heat

Stick the worthless Eagles in their also.nYou want Spags as a d-cordinator? http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700202858/Rams-run-defense-by-far-worst-in-NFL.html

HOLY CRAP

that’s as bad of a drop as you’ll ever see…

haha, SEC metaphor

Tennessee receiver with the drop, LSU receiver gets the TD

College football in a nut shell:

The SEC is the hot girl at the college party that everyone wants to get into, the Big 12 is the guy who isn’t as attractive as some of his friends but still gets the ladies, Big 10 is that girl with a rich daddy who doesn’t do shit but is entitled to everything, Pac-12 is the hot guy who we all know will fall flat on his face once he gets into the real world. And the Big East and ACC are the people who know one knows who invited them. Everyone else isn’t in the frat. Wow I hope people read this cause this metaphor got long

hehehe

it was damn good though

I know

Addition to the SEC: everyone wants to get into, but everyone knows only a few have a real shot

Really wish Drew Brees

would get a tattoo over his birthmark. Could be the most gangsta ungangsta of all time.

If he shaved his head, he'd look like a villian... sort of... lol
Drew Brees is Harvey Dent?
Dent has too much hair

That's some serious ink
Im so happy you knew that:)
Come on kids - give Daddy a kiss good night

F-ed for life

This would look nice

Not gonna lie

Would pay to see brees with that

or this?

The anti-Tebow
He doesn't need a helmet
He NEEDS a shrink
If this guy isn't from a movie

I want to meet him. Ask him how bad of a bet did he lose

Nvm, just noticed the mini horns
Looks like Tyson's been working on dem ears too.
I gave him the odd ears cause there are some freaks out there
Did he ever say:

You know guys, this just isn’t working for me. Can I get a do over?

I want to know what chewed on his ear... Eeeek!
Talk about a guy who may regret his fashion statement when he's older! lol
It's puzzling why he did it.
This girly horns does not scare me.

When I am hunting those BETTER be real horns. Or I own your a……..

Ramedude you got A Mulligan.

Bless. I am a puzzle so do not try to understand me,comma…..

As I was saying

Saints take the lead and never look back.

Sí señor
and there's my Graham TD!!
TD here and game over
that will most likely do it
Love the oline in new orleans
Did the TD at the end of first half count after review?
No. Settled for 3.
We've been saved

Josh McDaniels and the New England Patriots have agreed to a new deal that will make McDaniels an offensive assistant in these playoffs and the team’s offensive coordinator in 2012, according to a league source.

The Patriots need a coach who understands and Josh McDaniels needs to get back in his comfort zone. James Walker explains why the timing is perfect for them to reunite. Blog

McDaniels will succeed new Penn State coach Bill O’Brien. McDaniels is returning to the team he left in 2009, when he took the Broncos’ head coaching job.

McDaniels’ first day of work will be Sunday, the source said.

Good for him... I hope he takes the Pats all the way

… to a first round exit

Cant rec on mobile

So +1

his could be telling of Fisher too

as Fisher wouldn’t have kept him

Definitely an ego saver

Lucky for him O’Brien just left.

Why didn't we get some kind of compensation for him? Even a 7th round draft pick would have been something
Don't need it... we'll have Fisher
You really think he'll choose the Rams over Miami? I hope so too
haha yea I hope he does

and, I think he will

jswirb hath spoken

He’ll be here Monday

Calvin Johnson

Keeps me from wanting the Rams to trade down. #JUSTINBLACKMON…

Helluva play by Stafford, deserves the TD there
Bradford is unbelievable for winning Rookie of the Year

with our WR core last year. With Andre Johnson, A.J. Green, Jermaine Gresham, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew, Marques Colston, or Jimmy Graham, these QB’s can almost throw up the ball randomly…

True, but you have to have a OL to give those QBs the time to throw.
Jeopardy:

What are reasons that Bradford haters piss me off?

I'll take Bonga Bosa Opera for $300 Alex...
I'll take "Because They Walk the Earth" for $400 - the Daily Double
I was looking at our group of asst. coaches today

Instead of a Who’s Who it’s a Who’s That. Time for an overhaul. Couldn’t come at a better time.

I wonder if any of the assistants will be invited back by the new HC?
Spags only kept Loney

Probably was a mistake.

Many of Fishers old guys have already gone on to success elsewhere.

It’s good that these types of decisions will no be made by Kroenke and not the previous ownership. With the right people, all this turmoil will be worth it.

How did they decide to pair Collinsworth with Al Michaels anyways
Dude...

I know, right?

Can you imagine

What our offense could be like if bradford had a pocket as clean as brees

Brees moves around VERY well, though.

That’s what Sam HAS to work on.

True

but even when he stands still his line can protect him

Better receivers would...

help keep defenses off our line and really help in that regard.

Yea but our receivers

Never have time to completely run a route (even if they do suck). Thats where o line hurts us

If?

There is no if, they suck..

how many of the players in that commercial are actual jets?
I think all
The ones with closeups

I guess

Next time, they should just have Rob bust through that wall with a can of Pepsi.
And then brees gets pressured

And almost gets picked. They looked like us on tht play

that's how we beat them lol
good thing Sproles didn't waste his talent on our team
Good for him

For the Rams… not so much : (

Lamichael!
i'm playing fantasy golf in my friend's league despite never watching golf

so I just started the people with the coolest names

Winning formula
what is the reasoning for Greg Williams leaving New Orleans?
New Stat: "Yards after Chris Collinsworth Thinks You Will be Tackled
Brees

A lock for 400 yd’s and 3 TD’s a game

Brees

All that’s keeping a unanimous vote of Rodgers for MVP

away from..?
I'd like to see an experienced Brandon Browner vs. Megatron
Weird long ball

Berry had great coverage, but never made a play on the ball. It was like he accepted the reception on the throw…

Watching these qbs just throw up these balls for

Their number ones and watching these Qbs get all the time in the world is pissing me off, then people get pissed at Sam because our wr and oline are among the worst in the NFL..

yup, nothing special about the Brees throw that set up that last TD

CB just didn’t play the ball at any point

Brees can read a chapter book back there

Lol

He could cook a full course meal

Eat it AND then watch a movie…

Take a nap

Wake up and throw a td

Knew I was forgetting something..
Well u r a ram fan

So im gonna guess u forgot the “throw a td” part since we dnt see it much

Sucks for Lions fans, but if they keep this up

they will be a SB quality team in a couple of years, maybe sooner

Next year

IMO

As crazy as it sounds

I think the rams could be a playoff team next season if we have a good offseason which means:
Atleast a decent line
Get Sam a number one
Our defense will be fine as long as our offense puts up points, more times than not this season we were in the game til the 4th and they got gassed..

Completely reasonable

granted the dline and backers need some improvments but we have foundation on both sides of the ball

Agreed they do need help

But if I had a choice to go into next season with this defense or offense I’m picking defense. They played their assess off, if I was them I’d be pissed at this offense. They played good enough to win almost every game.

Yea the offense needs alot of work

if we could even not go three and out and atleast score something we would vastly improve.but I know fisher believes in elite defense

But not SB quality like the Lions could be.
Oh hell no

Maybe the season after.

I have the first day scores done. I posted them in the FF post if you want to see how you did today
Is Stafford's health still a major concern?

or was that the result of o-line problems

I missed all the good Rams talk today

any more word on Fisher? We waiting til Monday to find out?

Keep holding your breath..

Optimistic, but no guarantee.

any word on the GM front?
Shhh! They Hired me but I'm not supposed to say anything (wink) ;-)
Brian Leonard actually looked pretty good today

and Scott Linehan may have the easiest job in football.

Brian Leonard didn't look that good.
