The new uniforms Nike has designed for the NFL are starting to leak out. Some of the sample, or beta concepts, I've seen didn't really thrill me. The new designs are going to be flashy to say the least if the examples after the jump are any indication. The new cleats seem to lean hard on a "winged Mercury" theme? The gloves feature palm logos that appear if the player wants to put his palms together...The jerseys are going to be unveiled soon, so we'll have to wait to see how gaudy the Rams will be in 2012.
It may be just me, but I'd rather the Rams wear their "throw back" blue and gold uniforms.

Jerseys aren't changing other than getting a swoosh instead of a vector logo.
I do believe they are going to the blue and white jersey for throwback games this season.

Yeah they have good unis once, maybe twice a year. They should pick a home, away and "special" jersey
and just stick to those. Shiiiit, I don’t even know if Green and Yellow are their colors anymore. More like every shade of green, every shade of yellow, black, grey, white, etc.

are some of the sickest jerseys ever made. Now that nike is taking over the nfl for uniforms , they are gonna be so sick i cant wait for the jerseys. its 2012 not 1980 fuck the throwbacks , we need new upgraded unis for every team.

I’m with you Dougie, throw back to the old blue and gold. No white to be seen, and get rid of that shit colored gold we’re using now. I don’t mind if the style or design changes, what the hell, stay current but I don’t want to see anything but the blue and gold anywhere.

in the old 1960’s blue and whites (Fearsome Foursome/Roman Gabriel/et al)? After all, who won the MVP for the Rams before Kurt Warner? It was that uniform on the side of an old metal lunchbox back in grade school that converted me to a Rams fan.

I agree the shoes are lame but i sorta like the gloves. I have also never really liked the blue / crap gold look we have had since we won the big one and i would really rather have the old blue / yellow of the older days gone by. While we are at it when we are the visiting team we should not ever and i mean ever go white on white, i say go with the blue pants and white tops or if the old school way the yellow pants and white top. Home colors should be yellow pants and blue jersey

Speaking of uniforms, the losing streak is all my fault and I will take care of it next year.
That’s right! It’s time I fess up. For Xmas 2006, a friend bought me an official Rams jersey for Xmas. They were 8-8 that year. Since the day I got the jersey, they’ve been about 16-64. If they don’t turn it around this year, I will burn it and never buy my own team’s jersey again. Football’s version of the Curse of the Bambino will be broken, and the Rams will be in the first Super Bowl after that. It’s our only hope. I apologize to everyone for waiting so long and for disrupting the space/time continuum in the first place by wearing it.

Photoshop is one hell of a drug.
These “uniforms” have been crawling around the Internets for almost 2 years now. And I’m not a fan of it. I assume the football franchises are responsible for their own branding, and not handing it off to someone else like Nike.

Nothing wrong with the current uniforms.
It’s a very classy look at least when it’s matched with the plain gold pants.
I like the previous uniforms for a nostalgic feel but I just think they are a tad too over the top to go back to. As cool as the horns in the sleeve concept is, it doesn’t always translate as flattering with the way jerseys are worn these days.
The current gold is a freak’n nightmare to match and half of any licensed stuff ends up looking like garbage. I could see them tweaking to current gold and going with something like what Mizzou uses. It’s a yellow but toned down a bit. Primary yellow is a fierce beast in design and must be used sparringly.

Throwbacks a must
We need to go back to the royal blue and yellow, distinctive and vibrant. so tired of the overuse of navy blue in pro sports by teams that formerly had great color schemes (padres, brewers, broncos, patriots, chargers, rams, titans). incredibly boring. they need to follow the lead of the bills and revert back to something more classic. we also don’t need any more unis of the falcons, cardinals, broncos, vikings variety either.
