Jumping off of Van's piece from this morning, I figured we should wrap up the news from today's action at the 2012 Senior Bowl.
It was a down day for Dwight Jones and Jeff Fuller, two heavily hyped wide receivers coming into the 2011 season. Both have the frames, but Fuller isn't exceptional in any area and Jones, for his size, isn't winning the physical battles he should.
DeVier Posey got some love today; more than any of the Ohio St. suspendees, Posey likely took the biggest draft stock hit. And especially in a year without obvious top WR talents, he'd be in a much stronger position had he played.
Arizona St.'s Gerrell Robinson didn't impress; he's just too sloppy past the first couple yards. You could attribute much of his statistical explosion this year to QB Brock Osweiler.
Arizona's Juron Criner continues to pick up fans as well. He runs pretty crisp routes, but without great speed he's going to be a limited guy at the next level.
And while he's not a pure WR, Chris Rainey got tons of love today. He's a Molotov cocktail of a player - he explodes all over the field. His hands are messy, but he's a decent enough route runner. Having gotten time both at wideout and as a running back, he's the kind of athlete that could make a difference for plenty of NFL teams in the right system.
Summing up some of the rest of today's action after the jump.

Cordy Glenn and Jeff Allen are still ballin.
For new buzz, Utah's Tony Bergstrom picked up some positive mentions today. He's a big lineman and could well kick inside at the NFL level.
Just a personal note - arm measurements matter for O-linemen. I finally found some time to grind through them, and I have to say I was worried by the results from Tim Brewster & William Vlachos. Those numbers aren't going to help.
Mike Martin may have had the best three-day run of anyone at the game. Power, hands, effort - it's a good mix.
And Vinny Curry continues to pick up supporters.
How high can Janoris Jenkins go? I'll say this - he was perhaps the most sought after prospect before this week. I doubt that changes come Monday morning. That says volumes.
Brandon Boykin had another good day and is creeping up a lot of day 2 boards.
And 3k's old little engine that could, Alfonzo Dennard, showed the skill set that people are looking for from a Cover 2 corner. He's not blazingly fast, but he's strong enough and his feet and hips are soft enough to work well in the short and intermediate games.
Just one name to throw out - a saw a couple different people tout La. Tech's Lennon Creer, especially in the passing game. With so many teams looking to beef up passing attacks, I could see him come into the league as a 3rd down back.

I'm hearing that Brandon Weeden is tearing it up
I wish he’d stop, because from what I was listening to on the local radio today (which really carries little meaning), the Skins would be delighted to take him in the 3rd. I don’t see how they gameplan for that kinda thing, seeing as how ol Timmy Tebow jumped up so high in the draft last year. They need to need RG3!
DCRamFan - January 25, 2012
Weeden has his age issue though.
Outside of Luck and RG3, the QB class isn’t that good; that’s what makes our pick so tradable IMO
sergey606 - January 25, 2012
He will be 29 when the season starts, so I see your point there
I’m not sure what they’d have to pay a 3rd rounder, but Beck, who they touted as ‘their guy’ before the season started is going to be 32. We saw how that went.
He probably wouldn’t start the season, but he’d learn under Grossman, and then maybe they’d take a true starter in 2013 if it didnt pan out. Don’t know…..there’s really no telling with the Skins. They may bring back Mark Rypien

no one knows what they'll do
they’re the east coast raiders.

the only thing i can say about tony bergstrom (utah fan)
is that while he is a big guy, the one thing that he has going for him is he is a leader, as a senior he was mentoring every guy on the team from the moment our QB went down he started helping read protection. i dont know that he will start away but i could see him working his way to being a good asset.

Hey....
if you haven’t heard Ray Lewis’ post-game AFC championship speech- check it out if you just love football.
Taosman - January 25, 2012
we need that in our locker room...
Ray Lewis is one of the greatest, and I hope he sticks around for a little while longer
DCRamFan - January 25, 2012
Do you have a link?
I hang on every word Ray Lewis says like he’s giving me the secret to the Money Pit.

That guy could inspire me to climb Mt Everest with a rubberband and a paperclip
Joe Mazzi - January 25, 2012
I'd follow you to basecamp
and then I’d turn around and head the F back home. I’d then turn on the Rams game, and quickly realize that I wish I was freezing to death on Everest

Evan Silva
Sounds like his stock could be falling by the minute. ’Tis a shame.
Joe Mazzi - January 25, 2012
Honeslty, I wouldn't be surprised if a Tampa 2
keeps him at CB. He’s not fast enough to play single coverage deep. But with ensured safety help, I think he could be a fine NFL corner. I think that’s just a reaction to a lack of straight line speed (which is valid).

Cordy Glenn Was Dominate At The POA.
Once he extended those arms Courtney Upshaw was done. He also displayed a desire to intimidate. He went right at Quinton Coples. Phillip Blake displayed quickness and power at center. Juron Criner has done very well. The adjustments that he makes to the ball have been outstanding. Chris Rainey has continued to showcase his world class speed. I thought Vlachos did a great job against Melvin Ingram during the one on one drills.
Courtney Upshaw and Melvin Ingram look as if they will give QB’s fits at the next level. Both are quick and powerful. Casey Hayward has been very physical at CB. He just challenges WR’s from the word go. Tydreke Powell looked good today as well. Yesterday Markelle Martin had great coverage against Ladarius Green.

What about
Mc nutt how has he look this week and mike adams reminds me of pace and doug martin multi threat something we havent had in years
irams28 - January 25, 2012 via mobile
I too like Adams, but he's not quick enough to stay with speed rushers...
At least that is what I’m hearing. I’m also hearing that he’s having an active week this week. He’s very agile, moving that big 330 lb frame around pretty well. I hate to consider a guy like him unless we were comfortable with Saffold on the blind, which I’m not.

I've been a McNutt fan for years, former QB
Now a possession receiver who plays up in games. He has huge hands and picks the ball out of the air with the best of them.
