It's been a busy day for the St. Louis Rams. Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo and General Manager Billy Devaney were dismissed of their duties today. Subsequent reports have said that the entire coaching staff has been let go too, but that news has not been confirmed by the Rams. A 3:00 p.m. press conference should provide some answers to those question and more information about the next steps for the team. Team COO & Executive Vice President of Football Operation Kevin Demoff will answer questions at 3:30 p.m.
You can watch the press conference live right here, embedded video after the jump...to help your load times a bit.
If you're looking for more insight on the rumors about Jeff Fisher or other potential replacements, you'll be disappointed. The team isn't going to speak to that; they can't, for reasons that should be relatively obvious. What we can hope for is some insight into the team's thinking about a replacement, particularly the timeline of the coaching and GM search, which will be paramount to getting the team ready for free agency and the draft.
Ok, video below the jump. We'll have more following the presser. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @TurfShowTimes for live updates, questions, etc.

TheBirds - January 2, 2012

TheBirds - January 2, 2012
It seems as though McDaniels could still be on his way out
It depends on who they bring in I guess and what McDaniels wants
holtfan - January 2, 2012
Why sack him now
when KC is said to be interested…
Let’s get something for him…
Le Ram - January 2, 2012
Do we have
the right people to use with his system, this years results do not show the correct results.
learning - January 2, 2012
We clearly don't have the right people.
The O-Line can’t hold long enough.
Danrarbc - January 2, 2012

Well the one guy I wanted fired the most is still here
hopefully we don’t have to put up with Norwood passing to Clemens or 6 goal line plays in a row without handing the ball off to SJax next year, but there is a good chance we will.
Later all.
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
They didn't fire McD because they are hoping to get a team who wants him to have to cough up a compensation pick
If no one bites, he’ll be fired
Douglas M - January 2, 2012
mccdaniels stays
And so far, a lot of the posts have been false
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 2, 2012 via mobile

The players really believe in McDaniels' system
been listening to 101 ESPN all day. I don’t understand how a genius can call such strange plays. But then again, this offensive line was beyond useless this year. This perspective might be strange, but I believe in his track record. I’m starting to think he is stubborn, unrealistic, and somewhat egomaniac because of his reluctance to adapt his offense to our talent. However, Sam didn’t have an offseason, and then McDaniels worked with Feeley and Kellen Clemens after they had almost no experience with the offense.
loyal2therams - January 2, 2012
What track record?
He cheated. Why Rams fans are so willing to overlook this is beyond me. When you have videotapes of your opponents defensive walthroughs, a practice that continued to Denver (where he got caught again!) of course your offense is going to be good.
DiscoJer - January 2, 2012
Great drafts in Denver, record breaking offenses in New England,
and helping Cassel and Orton achieve successful seasons. I seriously doubt that this scandal is what made him a great coach, and Amendola said that he is the greatest football mind they have ever spoken with. He has designed extremely successful offenses throughout his career, and although he may be a bit mad, players and coaches know that he is a genius. Plus, it was never proven that he ordered the video taping, and I seriously doubt that he has spies videotaping every practice. At the very least, he was smart enough to get away with it other than the fine. No one really cares about the videotaping anymore, and it’s pretty clear that he didn’t cheat this last year in St. Louis. I think that it is well known throughout the league that McDaniels is a great coach.
