The St. Louis Rams fired head coach Steve Spagnuolo and general manager Billy Devaney on Monday morning. Their 10-38 record over the last three years was too much to accept in a results-oriented business. According to a report from Tony Softli, the firings didn't stop there, the entire coaching staff and even the strength coach have been canned.
Firing the assistants along with a head coach is not unheard of in the NFL. Tampa Bay did that today with Raheem Morris and his staff. Spagnuolo hired the Rams coaching staff, except for offensive line coach Steve Loney. Loney's time in St. Louis began in 2008 as a replacement for Art Valero. Given the performance of the offensive line, or most other position groups, it's not a surprise that the assistant coaches would be fired.
The firing would include, we assume based on the info from Softli, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, hired this year to breath some life into a dull Rams offense. Instead, the Rams had the worst offense in the NFL this season.
McDaniels has been rumored as a leading candidate for the offensive coordinator job in Kansas City, reuniting him with fellow New England alum Scott Pioli. He might also end up back in New England if the current Patriots offensive coordinator, Bill O'Brien takes the Penn State job, as has been rumored.

WOW!
back to square one…..

new year, fresh start
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
breaking news that the rams could look at for the GM positon.
Bill Polian was fired from the colts just shortly ago and I’m just sayin that the rams should considered interview Bill Polian for the Rams GM position.
stllcat7406 - January 2, 2012
bill polian? huh!? why?
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
i meant why was he fired?
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
Guess they don't call it "Black Monday" for nothing...
Both Bill and Chris have gone.
Personally, as much as Spags sucked as a HC, I’m just so freakin’ glad that Devaney has gone. Cast-offs from the Falcons shouldn’t think they’re doing us a favour by coming here.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
They all Sucked
And now their all gone.
Ramfan4life - January 2, 2012
I don't feel bad at all.
After all the suck we’ve lived through, might as well just start from scratch
sergey606 - January 2, 2012
I think I'm with you
There were so many things that were wrong with this team. It needs a new start. I hope we stay in STL though!
addnon - January 2, 2012
yup hopefully
hell I wasn’t even happy with the strength coaches, look at all the injuries.
sergey606 - January 2, 2012
Plus they can't even properly sneak PEDs to the players
:shifty:
addnon - January 2, 2012
Ok I'm on the Trade Bradford boat
They’re going to ruin him…
RG31 - January 2, 2012
same here
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 2, 2012 via mobile
You're gonna have to get over this RG...
I know you’re all for him being traded to Miami, but Sam is the Rams franchise QB. He’s not going anywhere.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
I'm just staing the obvious
3 systems in 3 years is no where near good, they might as well start all over and get a new QB.
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Not gonna happen brother...
Sam is a great QB. One difficult season is not gonna break him. He’s a professional, and he’ll get back to being the Rams no.1 QB when everything is sorted out.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
I never said he wasn't
I’m saying 3 systems in 3 season isn’t good for any Qb, although he is a smart guy. May I have to remind you of Smith?
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Smith hasn't got the talent that Sam has...
And the difference? Sam is willing to do whatever to be the best. Smith would rather shrug his shoulders and say, “Whatever…”
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
but if they trade Sam
he’ll be in 3rd offense anyways
Brick Top - January 2, 2012
Exactly
But it looks like their starting over so might as well get a new qb, atleast give Sam a chance to succeed..
RG31 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
umm
give him a chance to succeed? we are paying I’m a lot of money. think the rams want him to succeed here. they don’t care about Sam’s career, they care about the state of the organization. losing Sam would set them back even more. NOT GONNA HAPPEN
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
No shit
Thank you captain obvious, I kinda figure its not gonna happen, just pointing out the obvious.
RG31 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
then why waste our time posting it?
if its obvious. and you call me captain obvious?? ha
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
Because I can?
RG31 - January 2, 2012
+10000
Bradford is going to be a Ram for awhile. what are these people smoking?
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
or we could just go back to the west coast offense
more people run it besides Shurmur
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
stating*
RG31 - January 2, 2012
dude....36 million to waste...not happening
did you not read Mike’s post about a week ago?
sergey606 - January 2, 2012
Just wishful thinking, I know it's not going to happen
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Sam will bust his ass to take this organisation to the Promised Land...
Besides, I’d rather be a fan of the Rams than the ’fins. Too much expectation every single season on their shoulders.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
That is also true
Just think this could potentially ruin his career..
RG31 - January 2, 2012
give it a rest drama queens
plenty of rookies came in this year, with 3 weeks of camp and played very well under their first offensive coordinator.
It’s funny how Mcdaniels got Bradford murdered all year long yet your idea to help him is keep Mcdaniels around?
It amazes me that people thought we were going to hire a new head coach and make him keep Mcdaniels Maybe that would make sense if he was a great offensive coordinator but since the last 3 years his offenses haven’t finished higher than 18th in the league then I don’t see the issue.
mcpeepants23200 - January 2, 2012
* sigh *
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
We had better hire a qb coach this time
Bradford is going to need a lot of help his head will be like mush with all these play books
Peter Vevers - January 2, 2012
I'm actually really glad about the entire lot going though
My big thing is there inability to develop talent
Peter Vevers - January 2, 2012
I'll take a guy like Bill Polian
All he screwed up was not having a back up for Peyton. They were the most consistent team in the league during his tenure. I’d take him, Jeff as HC, Norv or Sherman as OC, Mel Tucker or someone similar as DC, and a QB coach. Now that everyone of this regime is gone, any chance Dick Curl would come back to help Sam? Sam and him seemed to really get along, and Sam seemed to really like having him as a coach.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
If we has even one of those guys, it would be a major plus...
IT’S AN EXCITING TIME TO BE A RAMS FAN!!! Lol!
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Norv as OC makes so much sense to me
He runs a system that is very similar to what Sam ran at OU IMO. It is about running the ball and passes in the vertical passing game. It’s like a combo WC/Spread. Mel Tucker to me is just a very impressive DC, one of the best young Coordinators in the business.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I think Bill Polian would be good
He is the first gm candidate I have liked the sound of unless we go for someone young and upcoming
Peter Vevers - January 2, 2012
last three first round picks 2007-2010
All bust
Anthony gonzalez
Jerry Hughes and some other dude
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I dont know though, think about it the other way...if the colts did in fact fire Polian...
Think about that! I mean I kinda think that the Colts fired him because the players really arent that talented. If the team really was talented then losing a guy like peyton manning drops the team to maybe a 6-10 record or 8-8 record. The Colts this year looked about as talented as the Rams to be honest…in fact lest talented as they played an easier schedule.
I think that is what the Colts assessment of Bill Polian is since they fired him after one bad year all these consecutive playoff/superbowl appearances/division champs.
But I could be wrong..
leadhead - January 2, 2012
Fresh Start
Since everyone got their walking papers, and Jon Gruden returning to ESPN, who’s left? They are going to lose Lloyd, like he said, if McDaniels goes, he goes, so they going to need a new #1, looks like Justin Blackmon fits the bill opposite Pettis(if he gets off the PED’s) and George Salas.
kdogg1980 - January 2, 2012
goerge salas? who the **** is that!!?
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
It's gonna be most likely/hopefully be Jeff Fisher
McD is gonna go with Lloyd to KC and then “maybe” Bowe will hit the market and KC won’t be pursuing him as hard. Personally I’m getting onto the Bowe/DJax with Floyd/Alshon bandwagon.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
DJAX!
navybluenachos33 - January 2, 2012
Steve Loney FINALLY!!!!!!!!
WHY did it take SOOOOOOO long for them to realize Steve Loney needed to go. Seriously I was hoping Spag’s would have fired his ass when he started. Also we REEEEEEALLLLLLY need a good strengthening coach. The Rams have been suffering with injuries for far too long, I understand that comes with the NFL but this organization has been plagued with injuries for too long. Hopefully whomever we get will start with putting together a good staff and a great system.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 2, 2012
The best thing brought up about the current rumours? That our owner is already looking for replacements...
He may be “Silent Stan”, but if he’s already making moves to fill in the gaps, to me it shows he’s got people in mind…
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Agree
Right now all we can do is speculate but yes I def agree Kroenke already has a plan in place which probably started after the first half of the season.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 2, 2012
A whole new Crew is coming in!
With a Coach with his finger on the GM spot too.
The entire Culture is about to change for the better!
Let’s be HAPPY about this!
The new GM will be making Draft day decisions, thank God for:
The “Winds of Change”…………: )
Goooooooo Rams!!
look closer - January 2, 2012
Will Brandon Lloyd go?
I know that he stated that he’d go where McDaniels goes but KC has Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin plus Moeki will be back at tight end. They will probably resign Bowe so Lloyd should have a brighter future with the Rams. If Lloyd goes, maybe the Rams will throw money at Bowe or Jackson.
Mister T - January 2, 2012
If Lloyd goes based on McDaniels, then fuck him...
The guy should look at his opportunities, and where he’d make the biggest difference. Being possibly the second or third string at KC means (to me) that he’s not looking to be the best with an organisation – rather, he’d like to pander to somebody who’s reputation is sinking faster than the Titanic.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
McDunk
Is not sinking anymore that ship has sunked I’m just curious as to what his excuses are.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 2, 2012
+My F'Up
I do want to add that I’m a corporate of wanting McD here and was hoping for big things so I’m a little bitter.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 2, 2012
I hear you Joe...
I was one of those guys who wanted Spagnuolo to succeed, intitially. But, if it doesn’t work out, you have to recognise it, and move on.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
True
It just sucks that the truth hurts, I feel like I’m 13 again and found out the girl who took my virginity away is a whore.
I know sad analogy but it is what it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BurnoutJoeB. - January 2, 2012
13?!
wow haha
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
That's the theory
McD will take Lloyd over Bowe (who won’t bow down to the douche’s ego) and then Bowe hits the market. Him or DJax with Floyd or Alshon is my dream
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Let's be excited for what's about to happen...
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Yyyyyeeeeaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, next season we will be like the Niner,s and go to the playoffs!
look closer - January 2, 2012
Actually..
Lloyd said he really wants to go where he’ll be used a lot. So basically an air it out type offense where he is used a lot and creatively. If we establish a ground and pound offense then yes, Lloyd is not coming back.
Bralidore - January 2, 2012
if we establish a ground and pound offense than Lloyd isn't a good fit anyways
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
SJ on team 8 yrs.
4 HC, and 6 OC. That sucks. No stability. The Rams will be a POS team for a long time. If it wasn’t for FF, I would have little interest in football. Well there is one thing we can count on. That’s for the rams to be the same ol sorry ass rams.
Sincerely, sick of losing.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
4 HC and 6 OC...
and STILL sjax ran for over 7000 yrds in his career! if he can overcome? so can bradford.
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
How many playoff wins? how many appearences? how many Superbowl? oooooopppppssssss
RG31 - January 2, 2012
what are you talking about?
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
How many playoff wins does he have? Not even an appearance right?
No superbowl wins right? yelp sounds very promising…
RG31 - January 2, 2012
who sjax?
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
Yes
RG31 - January 2, 2012
dude...
your bashing sjax…you all of a sudden want to trade bradford….im starting to think twice about your loyalty there RG.
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
me too
troll?
ECURam87 - January 2, 2012 via Android app
Na, just speakin what I feel is going on..
RG31 - January 2, 2012
RG's loyalty is to Sam first, Rams second
Can’t bash the guy for it
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
I never bashed SJax
I’m just saying instability in the coaching staff has ruined SJax and the same could happen to Sam.
RG31 - January 2, 2012
It's hasn't come close to ruining SJax
what ruined him is the team sucks balls and keeping coaches wouldn’t of help that at all
Brick Top - January 2, 2012
Well I think we could have atleast given McD a full offseason
but doesn’t matter now, hope they make the right decisions..
RG31 - January 2, 2012
If anything McD has been bad for SJax
doesn’t use him in the right ways and doesn’t run him in the red zone
Brick Top - January 2, 2012
I honestly think this was the last season were known for running the ball
They build around Sam and we’ll see a more pass happy offeason, working to his advantages. We will of course still run the ball but not as much IMO
RG31 - January 2, 2012
For sure
the team needs to go to Sam for offensive identity now b/c SJax has at most two more good years
Brick Top - January 2, 2012
I think we get
a scat back and have him learn behind SJax, LaMicheal James anyone?
RG31 - January 2, 2012
doesn't run him behind Dahl enough either
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
ya but...
wanting to trade him to miami or dallas as you stated wouldnt help him either.
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
It's called frustration.
I’ve been rooting for this POS team a very long time. And I say screw it. Dump’ all.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Finally someone understands...
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Part of SJax's numbers is all the extra carries he gets
But he’s still a beast, yes
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
And Sam is already on his 3rd OC and 2nd HC
sounds very promising..
RG31 - January 2, 2012
So what did you want?
Sam is not going anywhere (to much of a cap hit and no one will trade for him with his $$$)just keep a shitty coaching staff so Sam can stay in the same offence.
Ramfan4life - January 2, 2012
No I just thought we should give McD a full offseason with the team
But doesn’t matter now, hopefully they will go back to the West Coast or a system similar..
RG31 - January 2, 2012
If we add Norv as our OC, would that make VJax more interested in coming here?
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Vincent Jackson strikes me as the kind of guy who will go where the money is
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
so basically your saying he's a athlete
Brick Top - January 2, 2012
+16272929273996272926220262922$
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
But Norv and a system he knows wouldn't hurt
Means if us and someone else offer equal, gives us an edge IMO
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
but I think if we offer him X million
and another team offers him X+1 million, Norv won’t be enough to sway him.
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
I get that
Im tired of losing guys when we offer equal and they take a bigger market or something. I think Norv would help get VJax if money is equal
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Winning is the only thing that will bring good players to the rams.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
i like to see v jax and desean here in st. louis
along with salas and amendola? sounds good to me.
Mark Jaramillo - January 2, 2012
Gimme just 1 Jackson
2 is too much ego and $
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
But wouldn't it be fun to have SJax, DJax, and VJax
Its the Jax squad!
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
only if VJax and DJax grow dreads
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
Well yes, that's a requisite
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
CHOLSTEN
No way N.O can resign him and Brees. D.Jackson is gonna be out in Philly also yeah he has issues but he can ball. Then with the 2nd pick get the LT only if you sign a proven vet @ WR. But i would like to se them trade the pick. I like Flyod & Blackmon if you dont get a vet WR
SHAWN .B - January 2, 2012
Id like DJax/Bowe/VJax/Colston
With Floyd. If its Floyd we have in the draft, im not as interested in VJax cause Floyd doesn’t need his attitude and drinking around him. Floyd has tried to change his life, don’t mess with that.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Stylistically I like Floyd + Desean
although Cholston would probably be the best at keeping Floyd out of trouble
TheBirds - January 2, 2012
I think Floyd can largely keep himself out of trouble
I might be a dope, but I buy what he’s selling about changing who he hangs out with and all that. I just think making be teammates with VJax (a bad decision maker and drinker) would be asking for trouble.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Rams are pussies.
Their idea of a big name/talent signing is B lloyd. Rams are bottom feeders of the NFL. We pick up the scraps left by others.

Blow It All Up
I say attempt to trade SJ39! We need all the picks we can get! Hire Fisher. We need an experienced HC. Like the Norv idea if he’s available. DeSean would be a great pickup but he’ll probably be franchised. At least thats the rumor here in Philly.
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
If they franchise him he will punch Reid and them in the face
Hes sick of being disrespected. At his size, he’s sick of not getting long term guarantees and going out there and risking his neck for people who disrespect him.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
He did an interview this morning saying he's prepared to accept the tag.
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
He's also said he was largely "fine" with all that money they gave to everyone but him
Was he in the end?
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Agreed.
Let SJ go to a team with a shot of winning. Poor bastard. Forever alone. The rams owe him that much.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I'll trade him to who gives me the most

Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
DeSean Jackson
How bout Billy D should’ve drafted DeSean instead of Avery!
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
Desean Jackson would be nice
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Could be worse guys - we could be a Jags fan...
And all they have to look forward to is..?
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Seriously??
It is worse. 2-14 buddy remember.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I remember Skunk - but the Jags have nowhere near the possibilities that the Rams organisation has...
A franchise QB
A future HOF RB
A second round pick (possibly -or more picks from trading down)
A young D captain who plays hard 24/7
A DE who has gotten more sacks this season, and has progressed every year
Great players in CB and S, who will come back stronger and fitter next season
A receiving corps who need a strong HC to guide them
And the opportunity to start afresh, with a new HC and GM leading the way
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
And no depth or true pieces to build around for 5 yrs from now after:
Sam, JL, Long, Quinn. Those are the only guys we KNOW are here 5 yrs from now. Though with this franchise JL probably walks cause it’s just the rams sorry ass luck
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
C'mon KSR, that was based on our now previous regime
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
The JL leaving part?
Yeah, though this franchise does have bad luck. See: Kurt Warner. What other franchise has the face of their franchise have a career revitalization with their rival? No ones fault, cause he did suck in between Rams and Cards, but still, that’s awful luck. JL better be signed long term.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile

thats right kroenke clean up this dam house and bring gin somebody that can do this dam thing the right way!
kevio3000 - January 2, 2012
THE BEST CASE
If I was in charge i’d make a hard run @ wr in free agency if you over pay so be it. I’m sorry, but they have to find LT in the draft what rd? If clevland offers the 2 1st rounders this yr i’d take em. You get Blackmon or Flyod with the 5th, then with the low round pick take a DT or adress the O line. Sorry SJ39 haters he is our guy …………BRING BACK THE WEST COAST STYLE ……….PLZ DONT BRING A 3-4 GUY
SHAWN .B - January 2, 2012
We aren't hating on SJax
But his yards are worthless on this losing team. Youth and people you can build around is worth more.

Agree 100%
Well said!
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
If the rams don't bring back brandon lloyd
Justin Blackmon will go great with either Desean Jackson or Marques Colosten in a rams uniform.
stllcat7406 - January 2, 2012
I like!!!!
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
I really like Colston, except his injury history is pretty bad
Douglas M - January 2, 2012

Why am I seeing so many misspellings? It’s COLSTON! It’s not that hard.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
2nd pick
I just hope they dont over value the pick and screw it up..This is the Rams rember when we had 3 1st rounders.
SHAWN .B - January 2, 2012
And, as so many people have pointed out, we've got the attraction based on a francise QB in place, an owner who doesn't interfere, and the second round draft pick
The possibilities are endless
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Polian's
What do you think of the Polian’s?? Should Stan consider them?? I respect Bill Polian but its hard to overlook how bad the Colts looked this yr. Losing Peyton just exposed the bad moves (drafts) they’ve been making.
Ryballa22 - January 2, 2012
Yes, losing a constant MVP candidate and Lebron of the NFL
Does tend to show all your issues.
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I would
like a poll on who is here for the Rams and who is here for Bradford. I am a Rams fan. At the end of the day I could care less about Sams career unless it involves turning this franchise into contenders. All this poor Sam crap is cracking me up. I can’t say poor anyone who is making cheese like this guy is. We had more emotions out of a guy with 10 days worth of practice than I have seen form Sam in 2 years. If he is the anointed franchise QB then step up and hold you’re offensive players accountable show some fire. If not then you will never be a franchise QB. Hell if SJAX gets traded like some fools would like then who in the hell will hold anyone on this team accountable for anything?
RWRAMS28 - January 2, 2012
+ a million
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Damn, what's wrong with you people???
So many on here call for the head of Spagnuolo and Devaney – now, they’re gone. And yet, it’s still not enough. Aren’t any of you excited about, what’s about to happen? Instead of being on a downer about the state of the franchise?
Yeah, we have to start over again. But we have so much going for us! Recognise that and smile, instead of bitching on about the mistakes that the previous regime made! Because we have the opportunity to start with an owner who didn’t bring in the previous GM or HC, and has his own ideas for what he wants to put in place. He’s already on the job required, what more do you guys want?

Because we haven't won anything
Yes they’re gone, now lets see some improvement, if not then it was all for nothing.
RG31 - January 2, 2012
RG, it's been a few hours
Our owner is already on the case. To me, it shows he’s looking to make a difference – for the better.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
Yelp, can't really evaluate it until we see who's the replacements and how they perform
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Agreed
As bad as people wanted Spags gone I will still ride the no talent / injury train. If this team was as close to winnning as the experts thought why is it everyone wants to trade down for more picks? Reason is this team lacks true NFL talent so i guess we could as least thank Spags for exposing that.
RWRAMS28 - January 2, 2012
Yea
I’m thinking if Lloyd does leave we get Blackmon and don’t look back. If they aren’t going to trade Bradford (most likely not) then they need to surround him with as much talent as possible. If not Blackmon, get Kalil and I’m hoping our HC has the balls to get some talent in FA.

Problem
is I don’t recall the last time a 1st rd WR turned a team around? I look at what Atlanta gave up for Julio only to go backwards. I look at the Packers stockpiling OL in the first rounds and getting WR / TE in later rounds as well as the Pats. Seems to me the winning formula is give your QB time and the skill players will develop. It’s not like the Pack goes out in the first to get playmakers nor does the Pats or other teams that win year in and year out. The OL is by far the most important group.
RWRAMS28 - January 2, 2012
Well none the less Sam needs playmakers
and these wrs aren’t going to cut it. But you are right he does need time back there to operate but what will that do if your wrs can’t get open?
RG31 - January 2, 2012
Justin King
can cover for 1 second but not for 4 or 5. In fact no DB can cover that long. Give Sam a lounger like Brady or Manning has with their OL and I bet Gibson could get open. LOL
RWRAMS28 - January 2, 2012
I regards to "time to get open"
it makes more sense to have an OL line that allows even a mediocre WR time to get open as opposed to a good WR who has no time to break free.
ZamRam - January 2, 2012
Because not only did the coaches blow, but the players sucked too. Can’t tackle, block, and other fundamentals of football.
Skunkburner - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Well, he could have waited until all the strong contenders have gone...
We’re not the only team who’s looking for a HC.
JoolzMF - January 2, 2012
ADIOS
McDaniels….you cheatin’ bastard!
ZamRam - January 2, 2012
Amen
RWRAMS28 - January 2, 2012
Well
It’s a new start you know for us keeping sam is great for us. I think we should draft us a feature back for the future either lamar miller or Trent Richardson. Then I would love to grab an offensive line-man. I like the jerrel worsley kid though.
J-RAD2 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
No to Trent Richardson
Unless we want to pick the one position we don’t need someone. Manta Teo is good too, you want him in the 2nd?
King Sam Rules! - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Just in general...
Let the new head coach decide what to do with Josh McDaniels. It may pan out to keep the same offense for more than one season at a time. Also, everyone and their mother was hurt this year. I really believed in Spags, but after terrible calls on Offense and Defense at key points in the game, I bought into the idea of firing him.
Second, with this high draft pick, we need to trade down and acquire several picks. Don’t over-analyze picks, take the good college players. We’ve missed on so many it’s just ridiculous. How bout taking Gilyard over Mike Williams (Syr) or Avery over D. Jackson. I mean, it’s not rocket science. Also, somehow, the offseason project has to be to fix the offensive line. How does Jason Smith suck this badly?? O because they wanted a nice, gentlemanly lineman from Baylor when they could’ve taken big nasty from Bama, who is panning out well for the Bengals.
Pick a playmaker in this year’s draft for crying out loud. Grab Montee Ball in the later rounds as a backup and heir-apparent for SJ39. Grab some proven cornerbacks with speed and size. QUIT TAKING PLAYERS FROM West Texas A&M and other small terrible college teams. Stick with the big-name schools; they seem to produce the best players (what a thought since they did scout them in high school).
Quit talking about Luck and Griffin… it’s a joke to even think about. You all need to get on the Bradford Ban-wagon b/c he ain’t going anywhere. Nobody will eat that contract in a trade when they can just draft a QB for less than half of that contract (maximum). He’s a good QB, just like Warner and Bulger (that’s right, Marc was a VERY good QB). Here’s a sleeper – NO QB CAN BE GOOD WITHOUT ANY F’N BLOCKING! I don’t care who you are; if every play you have less than two seconds to find a receiver, you’re going to suck.
Bring back Danario; when the dude’s healthy he’s a beast. Try (and actually give him some money) to keep Brandon Lloyd. Very talented player with great hands and the ability to create separation. Also ppl, don’t forget who will be back next year…Danny Amendola. Don’t laugh, he’s almost Wes Welker. Give that man the friggin ball.
Next year, if health will let us, we CAN be a good football team and a contender in the NFC West. It’s about staying healthy, getting a playmaker, getting a solid corner, and getting a solution to the offensive line. NOBODY could withstand the barrage of BS that the Rams went through in the injury department and be successful.
Thanks Spags, for giving us a glimmer of hope last season and this pre-season… Good luck in the future.
Thanks for reading.. I’m out. – Scotty J

I can't
Agree more with you. I agree Danario is a beast if im not mistaken they said his knee have improved. I think we draft either trent or lamar if there gone go for a o-lineman. I like jerrel worthy out of michigan state D-lineman to.
