Bill Polian was fired from the colts just shortly ago and I’m just sayin that the rams should considered interview Bill Polian for the Rams GM position.

It amazes me that people thought we were going to hire a new head coach and make him keep Mcdaniels Maybe that would make sense if he was a great offensive coordinator but since the last 3 years his offenses haven’t finished higher than 18th in the league then I don’t see the issue.

I'll take a guy like Bill Polian

All he screwed up was not having a back up for Peyton. They were the most consistent team in the league during his tenure. I’d take him, Jeff as HC, Norv or Sherman as OC, Mel Tucker or someone similar as DC, and a QB coach. Now that everyone of this regime is gone, any chance Dick Curl would come back to help Sam? Sam and him seemed to really get along, and Sam seemed to really like having him as a coach.

If we has even one of those guys, it would be a major plus...

Norv as OC makes so much sense to me

He runs a system that is very similar to what Sam ran at OU IMO. It is about running the ball and passes in the vertical passing game. It’s like a combo WC/Spread. Mel Tucker to me is just a very impressive DC, one of the best young Coordinators in the business.

Think about that! I mean I kinda think that the Colts fired him because the players really arent that talented. If the team really was talented then losing a guy like peyton manning drops the team to maybe a 6-10 record or 8-8 record. The Colts this year looked about as talented as the Rams to be honest…in fact lest talented as they played an easier schedule.

I think that is what the Colts assessment of Bill Polian is since they fired him after one bad year all these consecutive playoff/superbowl appearances/division champs.

But I could be wrong..

Since everyone got their walking papers, and Jon Gruden returning to ESPN, who’s left? They are going to lose Lloyd, like he said, if McDaniels goes, he goes, so they going to need a new #1, looks like Justin Blackmon fits the bill opposite Pettis(if he gets off the PED’s) and George Salas.

WHY did it take SOOOOOOO long for them to realize Steve Loney needed to go. Seriously I was hoping Spag’s would have fired his ass when he started. Also we REEEEEEALLLLLLY need a good strengthening coach. The Rams have been suffering with injuries for far too long, I understand that comes with the NFL but this organization has been plagued with injuries for too long. Hopefully whomever we get will start with putting together a good staff and a great system.

The best thing brought up about the current rumours? That our owner is already looking for replacements...

He may be “Silent Stan”, but if he’s already making moves to fill in the gaps, to me it shows he’s got people in mind…

Will Brandon Lloyd go?

I know that he stated that he’d go where McDaniels goes but KC has Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin plus Moeki will be back at tight end. They will probably resign Bowe so Lloyd should have a brighter future with the Rams. If Lloyd goes, maybe the Rams will throw money at Bowe or Jackson.

The guy should look at his opportunities, and where he’d make the biggest difference. Being possibly the second or third string at KC means (to me) that he’s not looking to be the best with an organisation – rather, he’d like to pander to somebody who’s reputation is sinking faster than the Titanic.

Actually..

Lloyd said he really wants to go where he’ll be used a lot. So basically an air it out type offense where he is used a lot and creatively. If we establish a ground and pound offense then yes, Lloyd is not coming back.

With Floyd. If its Floyd we have in the draft, im not as interested in VJax cause Floyd doesn’t need his attitude and drinking around him. Floyd has tried to change his life, don’t mess with that.

although Cholston would probably be the best at keeping Floyd out of trouble

A franchise QB
A future HOF RB
A second round pick (possibly -or more picks from trading down)
A young D captain who plays hard 24/7
A DE who has gotten more sacks this season, and has progressed every year
Great players in CB and S, who will come back stronger and fitter next season
A receiving corps who need a strong HC to guide them
And the opportunity to start afresh, with a new HC and GM leading the way

And no depth or true pieces to build around for 5 yrs from now after:

Sam, JL, Long, Quinn. Those are the only guys we KNOW are here 5 yrs from now. Though with this franchise JL probably walks cause it’s just the rams sorry ass luck

I’m thinking if Lloyd does leave we get Blackmon and don’t look back. If they aren’t going to trade Bradford (most likely not) then they need to surround him with as much talent as possible. If not Blackmon, get Kalil and I’m hoping our HC has the balls to get some talent in FA.

Problem

is I don’t recall the last time a 1st rd WR turned a team around? I look at what Atlanta gave up for Julio only to go backwards. I look at the Packers stockpiling OL in the first rounds and getting WR / TE in later rounds as well as the Pats. Seems to me the winning formula is give your QB time and the skill players will develop. It’s not like the Pack goes out in the first to get playmakers nor does the Pats or other teams that win year in and year out. The OL is by far the most important group.
