Last night ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that the St. Louis Rams will fire Steve Spagnuolo and Billy Devaney. Other outlets reported later that no decision had been made, and the Rams could not confirm the report from Mortensen. There should be clarification by the end of the day on Monday. Jim Thomas from the Post-Dispatch is reporting that owner Stan Kroenke will make a decision "sometime on Monday."
Firing both Devaney and Spagnuolo will come as no surprise. The Rams finished the season with a 2-14 record, and Spagnuolo has the worst record of any head coach in franchise history. In the NFL, those things usually aren't rewarded.
The real work starts after the changes coming on Monday. Firing a head coach and general manager is the easy part. How Kroenke chooses to replace those two will determine whether or not the Rams get back on track and how quickly they do so. And they desperately need to get on track or risk alienating a fan base in two great American cities.

Do you think they already have people lined up?
Or will they just announce the firing and then explore coaching options?
