According to Michael Lombardi of NFL.com, the St. Louis Rams will hire former NY Jets offensive coordinator to the same position on the Rams.
Schotty was one of the biggest names on the market for offensive coordinators. He's a young offensive mind who runs an offense more Josh McDaniels like than Pat Shurmer like.
He is a controversial hire for many reasons.

First off, many wanted the Rams to return to the West Coast offense as they think it fits Sam Bradford's skill set.
Also, his results with the Jets were inconsistent and at times, he passed the ball way too much. He became enemy number one for Jets fans this season.
Many are also upset because this will be Bradford's third offensive system in as many NFL years and this trend may continue.
Schotty is definitely a guy that will be a head coach in the NFL and if he has great success with Bradford and the Rams, that will happen sooner rather than later. This will again lead to another offensive system for Bradford.
Overall, the hire is again another statement by the Rams. He was the biggest name out there and the Rams, just like with Jeff Fisher, were able to sign him. The Rams now have a star studded staff with the news that the Rams will hire Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator and now Brain Schottenheimer under the leadership of Jeff Fisher. Undoubtedly, a new era has started in St. Louis.

Can we have more analysis on this guy
Good stuff for another article.
All I know is Sanchez sucks. Not a good start xD
And They had a heavy running game over there in new york
2 Backs.
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
oh we will for sure, this is the type of post to get the news up quickly and get the convo started
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Great. Thanks
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
We both posted it! lol
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
When I was making this I was afraid Ryan was going to have his up at any time
but it was you after all!!! lol
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Running game in NY this season wasn't effective
as well as the total offense
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
I said I wasn't going to post over here but
I’ll give you an example of Schotty’s “genius”:
Shonne Greene was averaging 4.2 yards a carry against the Giants a couple of weeks ago but Schotty decided to call up 60 plus pass plays with a struggling QB playing behind a shaky Oline . I’m sure you will read more technical analysis from other Jets fans but I thought I would start things off you guys.
MDGeekyGrl - January 15, 2012
*start you guys off
MDGeekyGrl - January 15, 2012
thanks for the jump
Geeky Girl
3k - January 15, 2012
I still contend (no matter how many times Rex denies it) that he wanted to prove Sanchez wasn't a bad pick
By trying to prove that Samchez could throw it 60 times like Brees
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Wrong
That was all Schotty’s doing. After the game Rex had no explanation for why Schotty called so many pass plays.
MDGeekyGrl - January 15, 2012
I understand youre feeling there
But Idc care what Ryan says, I don’t believe anything he says at this point. I contend he could be truthful, but him saying that isn’t a factor to me anymore
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
with that being said.
Totally abandoning the run like that (especially when it is being successful) goes against everything Jeff Fisher believes in. That same scenario won’t happen in St. Louis.
Tackle Box - January 16, 2012
I'm so sorry for your guys...
I truly mean that. Hopefully his gimmicky/nonsensical offense bodes better for you (With the exception of the matchup we have next season. If your personnel works for his scheme you will be better but if it doesn’t get ready for some inflexible, never changing, frustration.
We never threw the deep ball or ran anything consistently, just short dinks and dunks (Hope you like the slant).
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
I have a piece I'm doing about him for tomorrow. This "hiring" came out of no where
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Should I just delete this since you have yours up?
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
I'll take mine down lol I corrected Brain" name to Brian for you :-)
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Thanks Doug,
got to earn that editor title!
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
I try :-)
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
I see it like this
The Air Corryell is a spread style, but with a more pro feel than the spread McD ran. It’s very similar to what Sam ran at OU, with a solid running game, deep routes with check downs. That is my big diff between him and McD. McD didn’t seem to have any check downs for Sam. Sanchez from a numbers standpoint improved under Shotty, and thats about as good as you’re gonna get from Sanchez.
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Good analysis!!
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Thanks
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
From a numbers standpoint Sanchez improved
but tht could be credited to Tom Moore teaching the team how to play in the red zone
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
It's SANCHEZ
I can’t say this enough SANCHEZ! And an overbearing coach in Ryan combined with SANCHEZ
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Sanchez has showed promise
in 2 minute drills, 4th Quarters, Playoffs. There are times where he shines which is why everyone was dissapointed with the lack of improvement this year. We thought he could be a good QB
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
I was just shocked that the running game wasn't effective
why wasn’t it? O line injuries/bad play, bad RBs??
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
or lack of running plays in general?
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
defently lack of running plays
it seemed like it took a month or two for Schotty to start consistently calling the run, and then like he did against the Eagles and Giants when the running game was working he’d stop running the ball and start running pass plays. Greene just barely got 1000 yds this year but i feel he could be more comfortably there if Schotty ran the ball like he could have
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
We were out rushed over 100 times and several yards I believe
Something that was not Jet like
JetsFanMurphy - January 15, 2012
He has a lot of the things a qb needs
But I just see him like Flacco. He just doesn’t have the “it” of Brees, Brady, Rodgers, etc
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Well Sanchez is no Sam Bradford
but he’s only taken his team to 2 AFCCG his firs 2years as a pro
MDGeekyGrl - January 15, 2012
To me, the verdict isn't quite in on Sam being a Franchise QB just yet
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Damn
Even a Jets fan sees his potential..
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Haha
I think they were being sarcastic
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I know
Just felt good to say xD
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
With Revis, and Mangold, and Thomas Jones/Shonn Greene, and
You see my point?
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
no not many people in NY think he has the "it"
I personally see him as being a Rothleisberger type player at best
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Berger has two SB
And is actually an amazing passer. Flacco is his comparison. Not a bad qb, better than good, but not great or even capable of great
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
at this moment Flacco is his comparrison
But I think Mark could develop into a Big Ben type player, not going to throw for 5000 yds but no slouch either
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
2 SB's?
DCRamFan - January 15, 2012
maybe if sporano's O is just like what he called in Dallas
but no i mean i can see sanchez being a 20-10 3500-4000 yd guy in his prime
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
whats with all this 'lazy' talk?
DCRamFan - January 15, 2012
LT and Tannenbaum have both said hes one of the hardest works
but its apparent Sanchez is complacent because he knows they’re not going to bench him for an AARP member in Mark Brunell
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
That's the "it" factor he's missing
And do you think Namath needs to shut up? He seems to be talking about stuff he doesn’t need to be talking about right now, when the team needs to get out of the headlines right now
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I'm kinda tired of hearing him talk
the only thing is he was right about everything he said at the begging of the season (the Jets being a mess chemistry wise)
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Calling Sanchez a chahuaha (racist no matter how many times he says it wasnt) and criticizing the hiring of Sparano
Hes not in the lockerroom and he doesn’t need to give them more attention
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
The Chiuahuah comment was Boomer Esiasin a different former QB
as much as i love Joe, he wasn’t in the interview, and hes not a part of the front office/ coaching staff so he has no idea what their plans and isnt entitled to make comments on it
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Oh, sorry
My loudmouth former Jet qb’s run together haha. Man! Esiasin, Namath, Holmes, Ryan… Are all Jets stars loud mouths haha
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
This was the first I had ever heard from Boomer
and I think loudmouthing just happens because of the pressure the media is under to get a story they continually question and question and break down at the players ability to talk that eventually their true feelings come out
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Boomer has always been a loud mouth
Just usually about his own abilities and about his main team the Bungles
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Seriously disliking Namath
He’s not in the building everyday, he had no idea what goes on in the locker room
JetsFanMurphy - January 15, 2012
Sparano is gonna run the ball, and play action, and never ask Sanchez to just go out there and sling it
Which is perfect for him
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
How's the your new OC being received by Jets fans?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Overall Well
Everyone likes we got a guy who is committed to the ground and pound.
Some are happy with Sporano alone
Others will be happy if we add Haley to complement Tony
Others like Namath are completely baffled, confused, and angry
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
I don't listen to Namath unless I know he's sober :-)
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Big Ben could easily throw for 5000 yrds of they could get him Brady's o-line
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He also lost Braylon and Brad Smith
Plax was a step down and did anyone replace Brad Smith at all really?
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Kerley looks like he could develop into a very nice replacement
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
But wasn't as good this year
Talent around Sanchez way worse this year
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
yes, plus he has no consistency in WR
only guy hes had for 2 straight years is Holmes.
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Otherwise known as "pain the ass headcase"
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
holmes is only a pain when we're not winning
unfortunately we werent wining
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Holmes was a huge FF disappointment.
I picked him up twice and he never produced
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
i had him as my sleeper this year
last year excluding the 4 game suspension he was a top 10 WR, this year he just didnt show up
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Winning solves everything
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
He also smokes pot (why you guys got him from Pitt)
Why was Cotchery released?
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Cotchery didn't want to be so low on the depth chart
and since he has been a loyal member of the Jets they complied to his wishes
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
You really coulda used him this year
Wouldve still been the 3rd guy at the end of the day
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
At the end of the season people a few questioned Tannenbaum's ability
releasing Cotchery being one of their reason’s why. But if we still had cotchery we wouldn’t have been able to see the good player we have in Kerley
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Ehh, wouldn't have had to rely on him as a rookie though
He is way more Brad Smith than Cotchery.
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
he really came through final week agaisnt Miami.
Kerley looks like he could devlop into a top slot reciever.
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
That's good
But for a team that was supposed to compete for a SB, id rather rely on Jerrico that Kerley as a rookie
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
defently
in my playoff-less depresion i have been watching highlights from last year’s playoffs and i contiunually think why didnt we keep cotchery
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Yeah, Jerrico is a great team guy and 3rd WR
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Yeah Jerrico was considered a locker room leader
and some feel his absence was why their was a complete and total locker room colapse
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
Part or it is Rex is the anti Spags
Spags wanted no thugs, Ryan seems to want all thugs. That turns on you eventually, gotta have a balance
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Rex only wants thugs
cus he prides himself in being a players coach and turning bad apples into good ones
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
How was that working with Holmes in week 17? Haha
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
not very well
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
You guys should know why I TRULY HATE sanchez
… He stole Kate Upton from me!
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He also never had consistency at QB
Each year a new set of receivers
JetsFanMurphy - January 15, 2012
Oh man
I feel kind of badly for Bradford.
Well, I still hope it works out best for the both of you. I’m just glad to have change with my team. He really did not perform well in NY at all.
I detailed why many of us don’t care for him in an earlier thread, here are some of my thoughts already posted on your site:
And DCRamFan wanted to know what I didn’t like about him:
Most GGN’ers will attest to extremely predictable and ineffective play calling over the years. Schotty also has a tendency to get cute or gimmicky, especially when he has time to prepare. He never really seemed to use any of his best players to their strengths. Most frustrating is that you could sit there and actively call his plays before the happen. Communication is also a huge problem, leading to countless timeouts, penalties, even safeties.
Sure, some of that falls on Sanchez and the diminished line. To be fair, no QB has ever done very well under Schotty, including all the former Jets I mentioned before, AND Drew Bress in SD when he was an assistant attached to the passing game for his father with the Chargers.
The most successful Sanchez has ever been are in high pressure situations, 4th quarters, 2 minute drills, no huddles and hurry ups, and audibles. Also he’s very effective on post season road games where Schotty has limited planning time. The common theme in Sanchez’s success moments are they are the times where he had the least amount of preparation with Schottenheimer. Most other times the kid is a dud.
Sanchez has shown promise, especially in playoffs. Schottenheimer largely hasn’t. I’d like to give Mark one more year under a different OC, ANY other OC at this rate.
Simply put, I don’t see the appeal of him. I’ll admit, it looks like Sanchez sucks, but if you read my comments you’ll see Schotty’s problems far predate any of the people who the Jets woes are blamed on.
Maybe all he needs is a clean break. Maybe Schotty and Bradford are exactly what each other need.
Bro Namath - January 15, 2012
Thanks for your input!!
I’m also a bit concerned about him, but I think it’s still a good hire.
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
We can only hope it works out. Our big concern is the position coaching staff. We need some great ones going into 2012
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Like the bottom line
I feel Rex is a little too overbearing about “we want to have a big time offense (but not take any risks” and calls for them to run it ALL the time. Then the 60+ pass plays game, I think that both Rex and Shotty wanted to prove Sanchez was a stud
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Shotty had a couple of good years before Ryan
You think he struggled afterwards because he was hamstung?
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Ryan is a little too overbearing
While I think that Jeff will simply keep it from getting Mike Martz crazy
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
This is a very good point
As strong as Rex is on defense, he is weak on offense. Rex needs a very strong assertive identity who can manage his own show at OC, and I trust Fisher to manage his assistants far better. I also think Fisher will be far less hamstrung by his GM than Rex is.
Bro Namath - January 16, 2012
Schotty's best year was under ryan when the whole ground and pound was pressured by rex
this year he layed off and it was one of the worst Offenses in recent jets history
ncquake24 - January 15, 2012
When Rams fans started calling for spaz' head I was less than thrilled about the replacements
being suggested. Gruden. No, heck no. Fisher, eh alright. When it became obvious that the Rams were targeting Fisher I warmed up to the idea. He has a system and knows who to hire and how to run it. Seems like a good foundation to pull the Rams up from the bottom of the pile. Fisher said he wanted Williams for his DC. Ok so he wants to reunite his old Tenn. staff. That just seems fine to me. Tenn was always tough. I’d like to see the Rams be tough even if they don’t ALWAYS win. Now he hires this Schottenheimer guy. I’d like to think Fisher has a good grasp on capable staff but does he? Hearing you NYers express your opinions makes me want to question Fisher’s hire.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
I'll let Fisher have a chance to turn it around before I question it
He took over as an interim of a bad team in Houston, then made them 7-9 immediately.
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I have faith in Fisher
I watched some of those 8-8 teams of his and they were pretty good.
I’m just not sure about our new OC and Fisher’s decision to hire him.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Ehh, how bad can it be?
Not worse than McDouche
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Point
any change can only be an improvement. I see possible reasons for his failure. like having a defensive HC for a boss who mandates that your offense just doesn’t screw up. And other things.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Hmmmmm.... The second he fcks up
Fishstache to the rescue
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
Brandon Lloyd should like the hire?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
He would be the Holmes (minus bone head) of this system
If he wants to be here
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I think he likes this better than a WC system, but I still think he's going to leave
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
From what I learnd over at Gang Green today, Schottenheimer likes complex offenses?
They also told me we are going to need a great center who can call protections? Maybe Dahl can do it?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Dahl is no center
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
He can call protections from his OG position, yes?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
I've never seen that done in the NFL
center is in best position to communicate to both sides of the line
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
They could pass notes? lol
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
A LOT could go wrong in that situation
and you the C is also the guy who can see both sides of the line the best
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Not to mention they'd need me to edit the notes... Linemen can't write!
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
But God do they know what holding is or isn't!!!
“I know you didn’t’ call holding!!!” Harvey Dahl
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
I really like Dahl. We need 4 more like him
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
As long as Sam doesn't
That was the thing that I think was too much for a young qb in a new system
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
The problem here is how long will he even be here?
If he has success year 1 boom he could be gone. Maybe 2 years. And if he doesn’t have success, then he’ won’t last either.
Either way its going to be system #4 within several years for Bradford.
Wombat x - January 15, 2012
If he can stay 2-3 yrs
We are good. Don’t see Shottenheimer jumping at the first HC job to open, he’ll want big franchise
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I hope they're not just hiring the biggest names and hoping they'll gel
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
145.66 points today big guy!
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
That was for Sat. and Sun.
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Boom! That's what's up!!
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
lol We're still in 1st place. Brick Top made a huge comeback though
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
FTW!!!
Niners Pats in the SB might win me this thing!!!
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Mike is in an unbelieveable 4th place
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
He has Eli to replace Rodgers and some great WRs still too
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Still a threat
I’m still the underdog b/c the only way I win if is Niners Pats in SB with Gronk, Smith and Gore just going beast
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
We're down to 1 RB - Ray Rice
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
I have one WR
Manningham
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
but we have 2 defenses
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
I got none :(
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
Send me your line up by Thursday night?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Ok
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
What system does he run?
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Air Coryell
Kind of a cross, most similar to Norv’s offense and what Sam ran at OU
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Sounds good to me..
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Sam Ran that in OU?
Might aswell get Broyles too
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Broyles came after Sam
We now run a bubble screen game with slants and comebacks and curl routes, totally diff
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Broyles was there when sam was there
I remember…Broyles was a redshirt senior this year
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He wasn't the player he is now
He was a® F in Sam’s Heisman (and really last actual) year. The main WR’s Sam had were Juaquin Iglesias, Manny Johnson, and Gresham
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
(r) f means redshirt freshman
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
im just saying
He went to OU, he could have the connection with Broyles like he had with Clayton before he got injured
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Problem is where?
Does Broyles slip to the 3rd? If its thought he will, then maybe. Thats if we keep Lloyd though. Even as an OU fan, I am warming up to Stephen Hill
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Hill is good
Don’t pass much though…so you couldn’t see the talent..But Calvin was in that offense too and he ended up…..GREAT
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
And Demaryius
I’ll trust the WR coach at GT, and he athleticly compares to Demaryius and is Megatron’s size
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He seems like a mid round steal
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Yep, I want:
A trade down from 2 to 9 or so, then trade down again to 20, and add Upshaw. Then add an OG and DT like Worthy in the 2nd (sign a OT in FA). Then get Hill in the 3rd. Where do I sign up to be the GM?
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Earth City, Missouri
Softli will convince them to let them interview you…..
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
How many weeks will I have to shampoo and comb Fisher's stache to get his approval
?
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Calvin played under Chan Gailey in a more conventional offense.
douchiedude - January 16, 2012
His strategy all year last year was to:
Preset an inflexible game plan for the opposing defenses weaknesses even if it doesn’t suit the personnel’s strengths. You’re really going to need pass protection or you’re going to be in for a really disappointing offensive year, unless your HC or FO forces him to run the ball (Which ours didn’t).
I am not lying at all when I’m saying, IMO, he was the worst OC in the league last year. Anyone pointing to any other reason need not look further then the 100+ fanposts over the last two years on GGN. In 6 or so years he never understood the personnel he had an what would work with those pieces. He was trying to force square pegs into round holes the whole time.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
i thought it was all Sanchez's fault?
(Sarcasm)
We’re so fucked its unreal.
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Sanchez is not that good = Fact
Keep that in mind when you figured Schotty called up 67 pass plays in a game that was pretty close this year. He has no ability to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of his unit. In that game we were running the ball for 4.2 yards a clip. Bradford deserves better then to be relegated to a dink and dunk offense.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
this is the crux of it all
and has been our problem this past season…
Never thought I’d want Schurmer back but at least the dude understood personnel!
Infemous - January 16, 2012
I hope
Fisher is not making this, “Give my friends jobs” instead of “Make the Rams win”
VTramsFan - January 15, 2012
cant be
or I’d already be the equipment manager
DCRamFan - January 15, 2012
this
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
lmao
VTramsFan - January 15, 2012
I thought I was the equipment manager? You stole my job and made me take Drew Brees! Bastard! lol
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Oh god
Guys, i’ve always liked the rams, but why did you have to pick up this idiot. In 6 years with us, we never had a offense in the top half of the league. He’s worked with 3 different qb’s, and pennington and farve both were in the top 5 of the mvp voting the year after they left us. Of course, they were wierd situations, but i’m not sad to see him gone. Good luck though.
rexthejet - January 15, 2012
Appreciate you stopping in. We are all trying to get our heads around this right now. We didn't expect a decision till later this week
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
I don't see why Lloyd wouldn't got to New England
Would get to play with Brady, and can your job get any easier with Welker, Hernandez, and Gronkowski?
loyal2therams - January 15, 2012
He won't get any looks in N.E.
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
idk Deion Branch had
51 catches for 702 yards and 5 TDs, and Lloyd would definitely be targeted more than Branch.
loyal2therams - January 15, 2012
how about Ocho-catcho?
DCRamFan - January 15, 2012
He'll cost twice as much as Branch too
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
He could
Branch is a FA is he not? I’d take Lloyd over him anyday..
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
That's entirely up to the godfather
and if he goes to NE it will be for less money than he’ll get elsewhere.
Sggladden - January 15, 2012
That was quick
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
They need to handcuff him to Sam until Sam has the entire play book and verbiage down
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
We better hire a QB Coach now!!!
Brick Top - January 15, 2012
+11111111111
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Take away the protection calls
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
except we don't even have a center to make the calls
loyal2therams - January 15, 2012
I hope we get one before the season starts.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
With a full offseason
I think he can do protection calls..
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
You might be right RG
but there is no sense in throwing that on him while he learns the new systew.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
True
I think the protection calls this year were too much with the shortened offseason, I think he’d take it but you’re probably right?
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I would wait till year two in a system and let him have time to improve his game overall and develop first
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Ok tell me what you think about this
This guy I know is a “Seahawks fan” and earlier in the year he posted something about liking the chargers too. Then said something about having top 5 teams, but mainly hawks. Today he posted that he’ll be rooting for the niners. I called him out for not being a true Seahawks fan cause it’s a division rival. He replied with “I bleed Seahawks but I’m a fan of the game”
To me that’s a shitty fan and not a real one. Am I wrong?
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I was a Rams fan this morning
but a Packers fan at 4:30 EST………now, I’m a Ravens fan
DCRamFan - January 15, 2012
Whats that got to do with this thread ?
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
Clearly nothing
Does it bother you?
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Clearly it does
Sorry sergey couldn’t resist
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Haha
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I always go
Rams
NFC west
NFC
as they fall
the one exception is the 49ers. I hate them and they can’t lose enough as far as I’m concerned.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Maybe I'm just different
The only NFC west team I’d root for are the Cards
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I just have no reason to hate the NFC east or the AFC teams
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
Not trying to troll or anything
But this is a terrible hire, this dude is one of the worst OC I’ve ever seen.
Like Cam Cameron bad
Bob_The_Friendly_Baker - January 15, 2012
Not a problem, glad to have you drop in
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Jet fan?
I realize he’s not the best coordinator, but I feel Jets fans are overblowing it a little
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
They raised some good points in a fanpost I did over at Gang Green Nation
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
They also think Sanchez is good
sergey606 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
We may be over blowing it a bit
But there is no way you can classify him as anything other than a bad coordinator.
Literally Cameron bad
Bob_The_Friendly_Baker - January 15, 2012
Not possible
Cam Cameron is the worst I’ve ever seen. And e doesn’t have an overbearing loudmouth as his coach (yes, I know he has a harbaugh)
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I think he might bethe jets fall guy IMO
But if he sucks with bradford, we will flip shots here
Ram_Redemption - January 15, 2012 via mobile
its already too late.
I’m hoping for Tyler Bray in 2 years with 40 lbs of added muscle.
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
get all your guys to come in and illuminate us so we can lobby for his firing en masse before he ruins Bradford
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
We had online petitions, Facebook pages, Occupy Florham Park, and
countless other methods to get this idiot fired. I would question whoever had the say to hire Schotty whether it’s Fisher or your FO, ours will be questioned for years on why they kept him around since last year.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
oh man...
I’m going to do SOMETHING to get him fired before he meets Sam and taints him.
Maybe I can spread a malicious rumour about his wife or something? I dunno I’m clutching at straws here.
Infemous - January 16, 2012
Cam Cameron
Iz a Retard. No Joke.
Rickrock - January 15, 2012
Shotty does pass alot but Fish runs alot so I see some way it can even out
Also, what kind of offense did Sam run in OK? I’m sure it wasn’t a WC style and he did great in that type of offense.. The only reason Sam looked good in the WC is because we had garbage WR’s so it looked good in short intermediate routes. I think once Blackmon comes in and we have more of a run n gun offense our offense will look better.
SMASH44 - January 15, 2012
Sam ran a more pro style spread
Which is what the Air Coryell is
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Ha ran a mix
Between mcdaniels offense and WCO. Sure he threw a lot but that offense was predicated on short routs to get receivers out in open space so they can do their thing.
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Why do I have mixed feelings about this hire
VTramsFan - January 15, 2012
Me too
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
I do too
Mostly because I don’t know him. The Jets offense is less than impressive but is that his fault?
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
"Star studded staff"
I couldn’t give a crap who they hire as OC as long as they win. Names are names, wins are wins.
Eric Nagel - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I wonder how much Fisher and his OC and DC are getting paid?
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
Idk and Idc
It doesn’t affect the cap
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
and if they win they will be stars
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
If they win, they won't be here for a second season, they'll get HC gigs and we'll be back at square one
Douglas M - January 15, 2012
and if the fish makes smart hires he will have a coach to promote
and he will win until he is a star.
LARams1968 - January 15, 2012
too many presumptions
I like optimism but damn…
Infemous - January 16, 2012
if is a big word, isn't it?
LARams1968 - January 16, 2012
lol i wish it was bigger then I'd have seen it!
I can only hope he hires some really excellent positional coaches to make up for the fail with Co-Ordinators.
Infemous - January 16, 2012
Like i said before
I sure hope they aren’t hiring them just to make a splash. Schotty certainly hasn’t done a ton to prove himself, but then again I’m no coach so I can’t judge.
Eric Nagel - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He was the best guy out there IMO
Brick Top - January 15, 2012

100% correct. You’d be better off calling your plays through Madden’s recommended plays on PS3 or 360 (Whatever your preference)
Timmaht - January 15, 2012

it’s saddening to see people CHOOSING to be ignorant over this hire.
And dude, sometimes I feel that Schott is doing that every time I watch the Jets play…

Only a problem if people know the coach doesnt like to run and you dont have a check down
Danny will be huge in keeping Sam alive while they fix the line no matter what we run. It’s not like this offense was any good really Shurmur, and it can’t be worse than McD
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Agree but thinking about Sam's mental/physical health
during the rebuild
VTramsFan - January 15, 2012
It's gonna be a challenge
They really might need to just take Kalil and move Saffold over and cut Smith’s contract down and move him inside.

we found a way to get worse than McD
At least he utilised all pro talent.
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
the lack of checkdowns was more a Bradford locking on thing than McD
The checkdowns were there it was just they were on the other side of the field and Sam was getting pummeled before he could even think about a 2nd read…
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
my thoughts exactly
These systems need time
VTramsFan - January 15, 2012

King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
i cannot believe we have managed to find a way to get worse than 2-14 without taking a snap
Can someone, ANYONE, explain one thing he’s ever done well in this league?
Fisher is turning this into a Good Ol’ Boys Club like he did Tennessee where “lineage” and ‘reputation’ mean more than talent.
I won’t be surprised if we see Clay Matthews’ 8 year old sister replace Josh Brown at kicker because of the NFL coursing through her blood.
Seriously. I’m stunned and appalled. Also, mobile TST is flat out wrong. Hit me up on twitter if you feel you can suggest ANY benefit to this hire.
Like literally my optimistic side is begging for something to cling to and I’m still falling into the abyss of blind fury, apathy with this team and wishing I was anything but a hardcore Ram fan right now.

God you guys are so fucking annoying....your not Rams fans...
We have been fucking terrible for the last 8 years. You all pray we get Fisher and are happy to have him because he’s a proven leader. Well let him lead! If he thinks Schotty will work then we have his back. And if I’m not mistaken Chad Pennington was Comeback Player of the Year under him and Brett Favres Jets scored over 400 points that season. Sanchez sucks. God you guys just bitch!

King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
You're right
All I’m saying is we aren’t Jets fans who consistently bash their own people. I am a Rams fan and I will back Fisher and his decisions until they are proven wrong on the field. Before this season Schotty was a shoe in for a head coaching job. And don’t believe for one second that Rex Ryan didn’t have anything to do with the terrible season. He’s the head coach. If he wants a different play to be called….he will.
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I was agreeing with you
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I know man...I wasn't saying you weren't lol
I just hate the fact that we are already talking about Jeff Fishers “bad decisions”. We begged for him. Let him do his thing

And he hired a young coach who before having overbearing/weight Rex Ryan and Sanchez
Was seen as a HC candidate in the near future
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Maybe for all the bitchers....
We should just go back to Linehan or Spags/Mcd. I happen to remember a certain hard nosed coach with offensive coordinator who was part of the “Air Coryell” system back in 1999. I think it worked pretty well.

I don’t know how old Shotty is but in his picture he looks young. Hopefully he’s someone who can take his experience with the Jets, build on it, and be better for the Rams. Overall, I like the way we are getting some veteran, respected coaches. We’ve experimented and fumbled the ball so many times I just want someone who can field a competitive team and make Sunday a pleasant day again to watch football
Barflies - January 15, 2012
^this
Great thought, he’s a younger guy who hopefully can learn from his flubs in NY (he and Rex did part mutually cause they realized it just wast a good fit) and build on it, like Belichick did with his failures in NY
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Exactly man!
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
So I want to do two trade downs in the first
Sign Lloyd or Wayne and a T in FA. Then get Upshaw in the first at around 20. Use our 2 2nd rounders to get Worthy and a G. Then take Stephen Hill in the 3rd
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I know someone on TST did a piece on Titans players who would be interested in following Fisher and playing with him. It would be great if we could poach a free agent or two from tennessee
Barflies - January 15, 2012
How bout Jake Scott and Jason Jones (not sure if he's a FA) and maybe, just maybe, Finnegan
Finnegan would give us a “not afraid to get in people’s faces” player.
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
And we could watch that great video of Andres Johnson trying to knock Finnegan’s head off over and over again! At least he got under his skin
Barflies - January 15, 2012
He is a great corner
And hey, he was covering Andre relatively well. How many td’s did Amdre have in the game after that fight? Haha
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile

King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile

Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Only if he's cut
If we get a pay cut or trade him somehow, no
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
we'd take a cap hit for a trade too
and c’mon man. you really think he’d take a paycut?
Infemous - January 16, 2012
it pains me that our fanbase have next to no football knowledge
There’s one thing having faith in a new HC, but you guys are doing the equivalent of being blind advocates of McD as HC of your hypothetical team after he’s already dismantled half the Broncos.
LOOK AT STATS AND GAME TAPE AND FIND ANYTHING TO SUGGEST SCHOTTY IS ANYTHING BUT NIGH ON FUCKING RETARDED. I beg you.

I got a job and a family, man, I can think of a million things I’d rather do that hunt down and watch tape of shottenheimer’s offense

you'll find come sundays you'd do anything to go to work or spend time with family so you dont have to watch schottenheimers offense live
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Again...look at 2006 and 2007. The Jets have been good up to this year.
I know the defense was great but they were putting points up too. I think you need to go do some research of your own
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
the hard headed have to feel it to believe it
And was Schotty OC then? :O
As has been said a few times too.. This is a what have you done for me lately lg and Schotty hasn’t ever done anything good consistently.
I can moan til cows come home and Jets fans can warn us even more. You will only look retrospectively and say WTF was Fisher thinking hiring this retard?
Hopefully you’re aware tho how catastrophic this O will be and don’t harbour any hopes for a turnaround.
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
How bout you stop being a harbinger of the end times until Fisher has been here at least a week
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
how about he stops making fucking awful decisions with regards to coaching staff?
his only plus side in my opinion besides clock management was the ability to bring in QUALITY assistants.
gregg Williams is meh and Schott is fucking absolutely disgustingly dreadful.
Why should I go easy on him? What’s he done to deserve that? He’s ringless, shat us around as he ‘uhmed and ahhed’ over a decision and has had 2 winning seasons in his last 8 years as a head coach.
Infemous - January 16, 2012
Here are some things to look forward to:
1) Shotgun on 1st down
2) Empty backfield on 2nd/3rd and short
3) Fakes to Jackson and running reverses to whatever WR is the slowest.
4) Jackson running for 3 straight 1st downs then passing the ball until you get a 3 and out or turnover
5) The WIldcat, rar!
Most importantly) Disappointment. The Jets should owe you guys a 1st round pick.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
Better than naked bootlegs with an injured qb on the goal line....
I mean that has a better chance of working than Steven Jackson, right?
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Not as bad as "Sanchize"
I saw some of your games….that Giants game…I swear, Sanchez was trying to be Big Ben before anyone got to him and he’d just get sacked
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I said it above, Sanchez is not good.
Apparently, Schotty didn’t get the memo. Any excuses have already been debated hundreds of times on GGN. I do hope he works out for your guys, but he was a terrible terrible coach for us, in coaching a disciplined unit and especially with inconsistent to just plan busch league playcalling.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
Hey, I hope he takes what happened in NY and improves himself
Like Belichick did
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Belichick is a handful in a lifetime coach, as painful as it is for me to say.
Schotty is flying by on last name recognition alone at this point, but yeah I do agree, I hope he does turn into a good coach and he just wasn’t a fit for us.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
Vermeil is another guy who got better with his next job
I think most coaches if they have any real ability at all, can learn from failures
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I agree, anyone can learn, but we saw very little progress with him in 6 years.
So it’s faith vs. fact at this point. Fortunately, you have a QB who doesn’t need much development, just a line and some WRs. Also, I’ll acknowledge the OC options were few and far between at this point. I mean we got Tony Sparano, who has only succeed in 1 season with the Cowgirls.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
I think you need to be cut and take a step back and look at "why did I FAIL here"
That what hopefully Shotty will do
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
"Hopefully" is the key word.
I do hope he does that, he didn’t do that in any quarter, half, game, season, or in his six year career in NY. He was stubborn in his approach irregardless to lack of success or personnel units.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012

the ease with which he walked into this job doesnt allow for much introspective time...
Infemous - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Hey, we don't have Sanchez
Sam will actually complete more than 56% of his passes if we get him some linemen and a WR or two.
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Hah, see my comment above.
I do hope your line can protect Bradford because that will be telling if he is injured by game 2 or if Schotty actually will try to take shots downfield. For all of Sanchez’s knocks, he was an ironman last year. He was getting blasted every other play and 95% of the other QBs in this league would be on IR.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
^ I agree...that is something to worry about
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
It's a good system if you have a good qb to go with it
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Def and a good line.
You may as well trade Jackson though, maybe pick up a vet WR to go along with Blackmon.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
When inevitably you pick him up.
Timmaht - January 15, 2012
Let me ask a question....
If Schotty is so terrible then why do Jeff Fisher and Nick Saban, who we all agree and good and well respected coaches, want him? He basically runs Martzs offense. If we could get Martzs offense and not actually have to deal with Mike Martz himself, then im all for it
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He doesn't run the same system
Martz takes it too far
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
It is VERY similiar...
Martz learned from Ernie Zampese and Norv Turner…Schotty learned under Cam Cameron and Norv Turner….Schottys is more west coast though which has more play action and slants. But very similiar
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
More west coast, less mad Martz
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
if a guy learned under Cam Cameron it says all you'll ever need to hear.
Infemous - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He also learned under Norv
Read both the lines, and he grew up around Marty
King Sam Rules! - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Yes sir.
I’m okay with a little more conservative Martz offense with a higher completion rate.
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Kurt was no slouch completing passes under Mike ;)
douchiedude - January 16, 2012
sounds like an all star team of coaches
just like Vermiel put together and that went well
fearsomefoursum - January 15, 2012
fisher knows what he's doin
Calm down everyone
Ram_Redemption - January 15, 2012 via mobile
^^^^^^ I'm with ya buddy
I support Fishers decisions 100%.
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
We beg for fisher
And immediately doubt his decisions lol
Ram_Redemption - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Also people fail to realize
That Schotty was an offensive coordinator with a brash big headed FIRST time head coach. Fisher is the opposite. Head coach in one place for 17 years. He knows what he’s doing
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I don't like it
I don’t have anyone else in mind but i don’t like Schotty or Williams. I would have preferred a couple of guys who’ve been up and comers for the DC and OC positions. I’m alright with Williams because of body of work but Schotty, I don’t think so.
dbcouver - January 15, 2012
We have to put our faith in Fisher.
This is what we wanted. Now we have to see if it pans out
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I wanted Fisher but I don't put faith in anyone
I want him to make the right decisions. I don’t want Schottenheimer. Wrong guy up to now. He has to change to help us. If you don’t believe me do some reading on the Jets site about him. I’m alright with Williams, like I said but I don’t want some one who comes with that much criticism. We’’ see but I’m too old to have faith and wait and see. I want success, and I want it now. Or within reason, I’m tired of the failed attempts.
dbcouver - January 15, 2012
Let me rephrase
I didn’t necessarily want Fisher but he was the best one for the job, so I’m satisfied with Fisher.
dbcouver - January 15, 2012
Thats basically how I felt about it..
RG31 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
You better live, eat, breath, and shit Fisher.
He is our religion now, so put your faith in him.
Just kidding. I’m skeptical of Schotty, but really just happy about change lol.
douchiedude - January 16, 2012
We have to put our faith in Fisher.
This is what we wanted. Now we have to see if it pans out
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
According to Wikipedia
Schotty was a Rams assistant coach in 97’
Dayum he was young….like 22
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Well I feel we are better off than we were a year ago...
With McDaniels coming in
Rcoon1307 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I needed to make this not have 333 comments
Cause otherwise Shotty being hired would signify us being half way to the end times
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
WOAH WOAH WOAH!
I was just making my mock draft fan post (which will be up tomorrow) and then this happens? God damn.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Here's my suggestion:
Trade down to 6 or 9, trade down again. Draft Upshaw in the 1st. Draft Jerel Worthy and a T/G in the 2nd. Draft Stephen Hill in the 3rd
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Mine's a bit different then that.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
I would bet
Cause it has to be worse than mine, so it must be different
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Fine
make your own mock draft.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Haha
Round 1) Kate Upton
Round 2) Rihanna
It’s officially better than any other mock draft
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Easily.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Kate Upton scouting report: flawless
Strengths: boobs, hair, legs, ass
Weaknesses: ummmm…… can’t find any
Best prospect since Megatron
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Rihanna is hot, but her voice makes me want to drown her in a toilet
Like Sarah Palin’s voice
sergey606 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Ehhh, the only noise I want to hear coming from her mouth is moans
And I wont really care what they sound like
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Well moans and cries for help.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
As long as its moans
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Haha true shit...
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Let's take Kate's upper body, Katy Perry's face, and Rihanna's skin and legs
The world just emploded from hotness, not even Tebow can save it
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Haha
As long as this said girl has Kate uptons boobs..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Boobs are in the upper body
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Ok thats a great looking chick then
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Yeah, I mean
Katy Perry’s hair, eyes and big lips. Kate Upton’s tits, stomach and ass. Rihanna’s amazing skin (its like caramel or some shit) and legs is a ridiculous combo. Tebow help us men, we will lose our free will
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Man, Rhianna is even better
Because she’s like a light skin chick but different culture, light skin chicks are the best look imo..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
She's got this awesome skin color
Without having the features of black women that completely turn me off
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Its not so much their features
It’s their ability to be loud as fuck is the turn off..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Haha, that too
I’m not sure what are the exacts of it, they just don’t do anything for my junk
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Yea imagine that
But x10, that’s what my sister was like haha
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
K, then I never want to meet your sister
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Hell neither would I...
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Too bad for you then
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Yea, she better be glad hitting females is illegal
Ha… Ha… Haha… Ehhh
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
.... LOLWUT?
Smack that bitch.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Haha too bad I cant do that..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
If I can convince Brady to let me plow Gisele just cause its my birthday
You can hit your sister
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Haha interesting..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Oh Chappelle, why'd you have to go nuts
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
So how does my whole
“it’s post child birth Gisele, her for a night because it’s my birthday” argument sound?
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Sounds bullet proof
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
It's an air tight argument
Unlike Gisele now
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Hitting females is illegal?
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
BIT of a generalisation?
Don’t think TST is entirely white bro.
Infemous - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Rihanna with Ellie Goulding's voice is fine.
Fuck it, just give me Ellie, she’s adorable :p
douchiedude - January 16, 2012
lol what?
Ellie Goulding?
It’s one thing to be alternative or something but to mention Goulding alongside Rihanna is batshit crazy bro.
I hope you’ve met her and have justification for this over glorification? lol
Infemous - January 16, 2012
LOL I love her music.
She’s adorable. One of those girls that are just pretty in a non-glamor way like most female musicians seem to be nowadays.
douchiedude - January 16, 2012
I say get blackmon considering this dudes offense..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
How does Infemous like the hire?

Dr. King likes slavery about as much as Infemous likes the hire
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
So he's ecstatic?
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Personally
I think its interesting that he’s been to the NFC Championship 2 out of the last 3 years. How many people here are fans of Mark Sanchez?

AFC championship (dick move).
Not many.

Haha nice
Too bad it means nothing to anyone but a day out of school..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
It's also my birthday on the 16th
So to me it means that no one gives a shit about the fact I was born on my birthday even
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Eh I dont celebrate mine
Never get what I want anyways..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
What do you want?
I don’t have a clue what I’m getting
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Its dependent on the year
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
I always just want a million dollars
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
I wanted a sexy chick in my bed
With some McDonald’s fries, maybe I was asking for too much..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Yeah, well Brady got me the gift I wanted from him
He knocked Tebow out of the playoffs and utterly embarrassed him, so apparently he got my letter. Maybe I shoulda asked him for Gisele too
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Yea Brady is my hero now haha
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Brady can choke on it.
BTW what the fuck was up with that punt on 3rd down? The pats jealous that the broncos were the bigger story or what? Douche bags.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Haha their cocky, sue em..

Have you seen the "elementary school musical" episode of south park?
And I’m currently emailing Brady the follow up: “Hey Tom, thanks for kicking Tebow’s ass like I asked. Loan me Gisele? Please, it IS my B-Day.” how’s that sound?
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
That episode is on right now.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
That's why I'm asking about it
The dad is how I envision Doug now
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
So you envision doug as a slap happy gay man?

Let's put it this way
If I ever met Doug, and he was like that, it wouldnt suprise me
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Hope doug doesn't read that.
RAMpage28 - January 16, 2012
Too bad for him
And I’m gonna go ahead and send Brady that email about how he should let me destroy Gisele for a night
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
Slap happy? Yes... Gay? Nooooooo!
Douglas M - January 16, 2012
Haha sounds reasonable..
RG31 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
This is post-baby Gisele
Still hot as shit, but a “it’s my b-day, give me your post child birth wife for a night” sounds like a fair deal
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
tbh i'd say i like it less.
Infemous - January 16, 2012 via mobile
well considering how happy the Jets fans are, we might be screwed
loyal2therams - January 16, 2012
Ehh, they think Sanchez is good
King Sam Rules! - January 16, 2012 via mobile
A very small number of fans at GGN would call Sanchez "good".
We realize his ceiling is mediocrity. He rather a question mark at best right now because we need to see him under a competent HC and QB Coach.
Timmaht - January 16, 2012
See you guys later.

They’re all super positive about the hire-sarcasm.
Can’t wait to watch that game next year!
sergey606 - January 16, 2012 via mobile
The End of a Long Line of Comments!
I am really interested to see a QB coach come on board in St. Louis. I think Sam deserves a dedicated guy who could keep continuity if Schotty moves on to greener pastures. Mark Sanchez needs a QB coach in the worst way, his footwork and fundamentals are getting worse not better! Be an adult Rex and manage that team like a professional!!!
JD70-79 - January 16, 2012
new offensive coordinator
im fine with it as long as he isnt as dumb as mcd was… i saw him pass the ball on 3rd and 1 3rd and 2 more times than i can count and its stupid with backs like sj and cadillac. run the ball when your supposed to and let sam do his thing
ckphresh89 - January 16, 2012 via Android app
Best of luck with him...
I didn’t read through the long list of comments, but if this hasn’t been posted yet then I leave it for your viewing pleasure. Pretty much sums up why most of us hated B.S.

Flight #845 - January 16, 2012
Booooo......
Schotty would’ve been about 7th on my list of candidates.
I’m not surprised Fisher had an OC and DC already in mind, I am surprised that these are the guys he was thinking of.
Ram_Country - January 16, 2012
Schottenheimer favorite 3rd down call
PuffDaddy18 - January 16, 2012
i'm feeling a little bit more sick in my mouth.
Infemous - January 16, 2012
That's not his fault on the call,
that’s the WRs fault for running a stick route short of the sticks!!!
Brick Top - January 16, 2012
Is it every single receiver's fault?
That’s a lot of blame for the execution and none for the play calling.
Abrantes - January 16, 2012
Every WR who runs a stick route short of the sticks is at fault!!!
He wasn’t running the play as designed. If you think Schotty actually wanted the WR to run a stick route short of the sticks you are completely ignorant.
Brick Top - January 16, 2012
good thing its not up to the fans as to who is hired or not if it was then another inexpericanced oc
would have been on hc and he would have just as inexperienced of a staff. Now as for any hires the Fisher makes for HIS STAFF I’ll trust that he knows what he want’s and who he wants.
Freewheeler2 - January 16, 2012
Really don't like this signing at all.
The original post hit all my major concerns — 1) I only watched a few Jets games this year, but their offense looked like a train wreck. 2) It seems like a short-term hire. 3) He doesn’t seem like a fit for Bradford.
How “locked in” is Schotty? I hope he’s not going to bring the same basic playbook he had for the Jets. The biggest problem with McD was that he refused to adjust for the players he had to work with.
JStymie - January 16, 2012
Wait and see...
Failure in NY doesn’t mean he’ll fail in Saint Louis.
And I like the fact that he has roots in the Air Coryell offense, like Mike Martz.
Le Ram - January 16, 2012
one reason to wait and see ?
Bradford >> Sanchez
Le Ram - January 16, 2012
based on what?
I love Sam, he has waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more talent, but I don’t think it’s unfair to say Sanchez is more accomplished, nor do I feel it’d be wrong to say that thinking Sam can execute a poorly called offense in his first season better than Sanchez who had 3 years in the system and was still left high and dry in the system til the day Schott was fired.
Infemous - January 16, 2012
Hate to ruin your day, but the hire is on the NFL the daily news media release this morning
I have mixed feelings about the hire. I think Fisher could have spent a bit more time with other candidates before jumping for Schottenheimer. The things I’ve been reading from Jets fans is disturbing to say the least. BUT, the best observation I read reminded me that coaches can go from bum to brilliant with a change of scenery. Look at Gailey, the HC of Buffalo. He did awesome things for the Pittsburgh Steeler (‘94-’97), then was run out of town by Dallas, Miami and Kansas City. This year, look what a great job he has done for Buffalo. They are a couple of draft picks away from being a very good team indeed.
I guess what I’m saying is two fold: First, if the deal is done, then we will see what we will see, and second – Don’t count any coach out, because sometimes all they need is to find the right fit and have a fresh start.
Infemous, you’re a good guy. You and I both know that whoever was hired for HC, OC, DC is going to have to earn the fans’ respect after all we’ve been through. Unlike Spags when he was hired, we will doubt Fisher first before believing in what he does – Same with Brian and Williams. There will be no carte blanche for this staff as far as fans are concerned. What I do know is that we are Rams fans, and we’ll cheer them on no matter who is leading them… Cheers!
Douglas M - January 16, 2012
Hah, they is no way Bradford < Sanchez.
Our 3rd stringer, McElroy may be > Sanchez. Both of our teams will find out alot this year and I think Jets fans will be more interested then they would admit to your teams progress or regression with Schotty next year.
Timmaht - January 16, 2012
I think your new OC is going to do very well. Rex will have a guy he can respect as a peer too
Douglas M - January 16, 2012
Being from NJ, i get all the jets games here and his offense isnt all that dad. I would say most of the mistake I saw were Sanchez fault.
nj_rams_fan - January 16, 2012
+1
I haven’t watched all the Jets’ games, but it seems to me that offensive failure was most of the time because due to bad execution/poor decisions.
The scheme can only do so much. You have to EXECUTE.
Le Ram - January 16, 2012
Question
Okay I didn’t read every post on here but even if Schott should have in reality called more run plays (which we all know is true) and didn’t isn’t the head coaches job to veto the play call for passing? So basically where I’m getting at is that it’s the head coaches job to say hey what in da hell are you doing and fix the situation hence Lovie Smith with Mad Man Martz. You see how the Bears changed up and started utilizing the run now you can’t tell me that was Mad Man idea.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 16, 2012
Alot of blame was passed onto Rex and the FO by the fans.
Rex kept saying we were going to go to the “ground and pound” but it would never happen. It was very very very frustrating last year. Our running plays were 3 yards slants which are the things Sanchez has been the worst at in his short career.
Timmaht - January 16, 2012
Ah
I know I was pissed cause Shonne Greene was on my fantasy team lol. Honestly I thought the Jets oline would have been a lot better this season and was thinking they would have been a more ground and pound team.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 16, 2012
Wow this is a disaster right now.
The Jets have a terrible offense and the Saints have a terrible defense, so we’re trying to hire the men responsible for those terrible units? Is there nobody better on the market right now?
StopSpe - January 16, 2012
New Orleans
I could be wrong but to NO defense (no punn intended) they were prone to injuries this year and I believe they lost some key players in the off season. Once again I could be wrong on that last statement.
BurnoutJoeB. - January 16, 2012
The Saints have little talent
on defense.
