7 months ago: ST. LOUIS, MO - OCTOBER 30: Chris Long #91 of the St. Louis Rams sacks Drew Brees #9 of the New Orleans Saints at the Edward Jones Dome on October 30, 2011 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rams beat the Saints 31-21. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images)
The Divisional Playoffs start in the NFC, in San Francisco with a game between the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers. The St. Louis Rams played both of these teams, beating the Saints in what might be the flukiest upset in the NFL this season. There's another connection here for Rams fans, with Saints DC Gregg Williams reportedly going to join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.
Watch Williams defense in this game. Drew Brees and the Saints offense gets most of the pub these days, but Williams will be working to make life tough for Alex Smith ... I like him already. New Orleans has a really poor pass defense this season. They led the league in blitzing as well as dropping eight into coverage, as a means of compensating. Keep your eye on how Williams works against this team and try to imagine him working with the Rams against this same team next season.
More: Lots more game coverage in the story steam over at SB Nation NFL. | Jim Trotter at SI.com previews the matchup.
For more on the 49ers, check out Niners Nation and SB Nation Bay Area, and for theSaints check out Canal Street Chronicles. Here's a look at the complete 2012 NFL playoffs schedule.

Who the hell voted for the whiners?
must of been whiner fans, hopefully.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
I'm rooting for the NFC West - I want the sports writers who keep dissing our division to eat some crow
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
I cant root for the whiners, if i did
hell would freeze over
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
lol I totally understand
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Good point
I dont understnad how sports writers can say that the NFC West is still the worst division. The AFC South was HORRIBLE. The AFC and the NFC East wernt very good, maybe theyre as good at the NFC West. It pisses me off.
stuman89 - January 14, 2012
It's only because of...
The lowly downtrodden Rams ; )
Sggladden - January 14, 2012 via mobile
ESPN lost a ton of Rams fan readers with that title miscue
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
I'm not sure if it was that fluky,
our pass rush can be dominant with a lead and we had good balance on offense.
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
do you like huey lewis and the news?
How about phil collins?
mooseknuckles41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Man he has a quick release!(Breese)
David5264 - January 14, 2012
okay. the niners have just killed 2 saints.
Over/under on bodybags before halftime?
mooseknuckles41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
the 49ers are scary
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Wicked Hit By Whitner!
He knocked the runner back and made him couph the ball up1
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
I hope Chris Ivory gets some good runs today
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Can't wait to see Gregg Williams dial up those blitzes with Quinn and Long
if that happens.
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
hope we get some speed at olb in fa / draft
David5264 - January 14, 2012
Picked the Saints.
Think it’s easier for a bad defense to stop the Niners offense than it is for a good defense to stop the Saints offense.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Roman Harper
With the sack! Almost got the Turnover.
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Damn! Graham is hurt! There goes our FF TE
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Smash Mouth Football At Its Best!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Aldon Smith!!!!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
I hope Quinn will be as good
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Quinn will be a beast
holtfan - January 14, 2012 via mobile
He seems to be learning. He started the year out having trouble staying on his feet, diving at people. By the end of the season he was on his feet, with a more stable rush
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Yeah a lot of that had to due with the fact he didn't play football the year before
we knew he was going to take time when we picked him, but it seems he will be a great pick!
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
I think I read somewhere that Williams switches between 4-3 and 3-4? Is that true?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Yep, just watch today on their D
some plays they won’t have any down line men
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
What positions will we need to draft to be able to do this? OLB? Huge DT?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
OLBs for sure
but Quinn and Long will be edge rushers on those plays and no matter what system we’re in we need upgrades at DT.
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
I think I got the "Player to Watch" post right today? Smith is playing great
So does Williams as DC change our Draft board?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Maybe, but not much at all
No matter what D we play, we need upgrades at those positions. Maybe the style of OLBs we look for changes in look for guys who can rush better, but that’s about it IMO.
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
but only for certain plays and situations will he do that
usually 3rd down. Base is still 4-3
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
had we had a full off season
i think we would have gotten a lot more out of him this year.
Rando - January 14, 2012
You can say that about basically every player in the NFL lol
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
not at all,
all the other players played football last year, quinn didnt, so he got thrown from home into the nfl practically.
Rando - January 14, 2012
Your FF team is doing great today!
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Frank Gore and Alex Smith FTW
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
We sat Fred Davis for Graham today
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
I meant Vernon Davis
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
freaking aldon smith
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
our qb's will be endangered for the next 10 years
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Great Pursuit And Sack!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Both sides are flat out hitting!
David5264 - January 14, 2012
True, I think the Saints lose a physical game. They need to get their passing game going to spread the 49ers out
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
where did the 49ers cb's even come from?
Carlos Rogers was never that good and now he is a pro bowler.
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
agree. thet need to.....stop davis from getting to the endzone
David5264 - January 14, 2012
LOL tackled his teammate.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Vernon davis TD!!!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
what does vernon davis have against holding the ball properly...
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012

whiners offense outplaying the saints offense. didnt think this would be happening
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Great throw by Smtih!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012

yes! take that injured tight end!
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
agreed.
Rando - January 14, 2012
I hope that if Greg Williams
Comes to the rams that he doesn’t blitz as much as he does w the saints
holtfan - January 14, 2012 via mobile
I really doubt he will change
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
why do all the networks say it will be an upset if the 49ers win anyways
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
wow int
dam u whiners, come on saints get in the game!!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012

The beast w/ 49 assholes?
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
Forty assholes.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
The Saints are looking very Rams-like right now?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
williams must be coming to the rams...
Rando - January 14, 2012
We're not even going to get a legit view of Williams' defense at this rate.
He has no chance.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
wtf is this game rigged
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Another Saint Turnover!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
NFC West = Saints Kryptonite.
RAMpage28 - January 14, 2012
Good point!
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
could it get worse for the saints?
David5264 - January 14, 2012

Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012

He's in Phoenix basketballin' it up.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Still reppin K-Swiss, I'm sure.
FailureDrill - January 14, 2012 via Android app
This is uuuuugly.
When was the last time they played the Cardinals and what was the outcome? Would be funny if they’re 0-4 against the West lol. Still hope they win though.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
This is why Aaron Rodgers should be MVP. His TD-INT ratio.
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
The Aints have shown up to this game.
This is washington generals VS. harlem globetorters bad.
RAMpage28 - January 14, 2012
Seattle knocked the saints out last year,
could the nfc west do it again?
hopefully next year its the rams knocking the saints out of the playoffs.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Next year the Cardinals.
The year after we go onto win our SB, knocking off the Saints in the 1st round _
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
sounds good to me
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
looks like the rams traded in their Pittsburgh
jerseys for the saints’…
Rando - January 14, 2012
saints actually lost to the cardinals in 2010
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
but they beat us and the seahawks
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Okay, so they are on the verge of being 0-4 in their last meetings with each team LOL.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
brees is going to be killed if they become one dimensional
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
Lots of guys may not remember that when the Saints were in the NFC West, the Rams and 49ers almost always beat the snot out of them. They were the division doormat for years
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Those were the days.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
God damn the saints are playing like shit.
RAMpage28 - January 14, 2012
sproles was down
David5264 - January 14, 2012
Positive The Niners are representing the NFC West very well
Negative it’s the 49er’s.
RAMpage28 - January 14, 2012
Sproles is down
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
That should be a fumble!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
I think Sproles was down before ball came out?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Come on now, you sound like a Niners fan today.
Gross.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
NAW! Just A Fan Of Defense!
I like the way The Niner D attacks the ball!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
he was definatly down.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Sproles Had The Ball Taken Away!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012

Ground. Not. Cause. Fumble.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
you forgot "Can" before "Not"
Rando - January 14, 2012
That Is One Of The Worst Rules Ever!
Offensive Bias at its worst!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Except when it happens to us, right?
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
I'm Fair
It is a horrible rule in any case. The offense has too many things in their favor.
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Can't argue that.
It sucks to be a cornerback in this league now. College corners get more leeway than they do, and that’s not saying much. PI is a complete joke.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Except If You're The DB! LMAO!!!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
niners are covering well. nothing deep
David5264 - January 14, 2012
Graham's back!
Douglas M - January 14, 2012

ValdezY - January 14, 2012
The Saints score again before half and SF has to be worried
Douglas M - January 14, 2012

David5264 - January 14, 2012
Siragusa is happy, usually he is stuck in the freezing weather
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
It's San Francisco - wait till the sun goes down, it will be wet and chilly. I hate Candlestick - miserable place to see a game
Douglas M - January 14, 2012

3k - January 14, 2012 via Android app
this gm isnt over by a longshot! watch!
Mark Jaramillo - January 14, 2012
What's your take on the potential "star" OC and DC line up for the Rams that has been written about lately
Not that Schottenheimer JR (sp) is that big a star, but how do you see them and what will be their individual draft and FA wants? Will Fisher focus on D first, or O?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
you asking me doug? or 3k?
Mark Jaramillo - January 14, 2012
Anyone - both?
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
oh! ok...
i think jets fans are trashing shottenheimer for no reason, i think he would be on the same page as jeff fisher, as in they both like to run, a run first system which im going to like. to be honest douglas, jets fans were quick to trash there OC, where as i thought it was mark sanchez that made the offense sputter, he’s just not right for that system to me.
norw the question to me will be, will fisher let shottenheimer do his thing? as for gregg williams/ i LOVE that move if it happens! thing is, while watching this gm, he seems to be blitzing at the wrong times, and is getting his defense burned. but i like his attack mentality. williams likes to run a 4-3, so im hoping he can have some imput on what drat picks, or free agents would be good for the rams defense.
hell douglas ya never no, if the saints advance or not, we might be seeing some of those saints players wanting to come to st. louis to play for gregg williams. that would be nice! jonathen vilma paired with JL, and say, i dont know, hightower from bama, or zach brown? ( shuddering!). i just gave myself goosebumps!
Mark Jaramillo - January 14, 2012
No idea,
watching my Rebels play some basketball right now lol.

ValdezY - January 14, 2012
We have a game now! SF's D is going to have to adjust and Smith is going to have to step up again
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Saints could very well take the lead before the half o.O
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
why do they think they can cover Vernon Davis in single coverage
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
wow, smith got swarmed that time by the blitz
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
it would be fun to see Gregg Williams...
loyal2therams - January 14, 2012
That's the kind of shit
I’d like to see out of Williams in STL.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012
You can't give Brees 2 minutes.
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
how many turnovers so far for the aints?
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
3
Douglas M - January 14, 2012

I'm cool with that.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012 via mobile

Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Justin Smith and Ahmad Brooks
Will not let Brees Breathe!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Hats of to SF's DC. He's the one keeping SF in the lead. Smith is stymied right now
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Doug
What you think about the job that Williams has done so far? You are right; he has kept Smith on his heels.
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Considering SF has 2 scoring drives
That are longer than 10 yards, I’d say he’s doing an excellent job with what he’s being given.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Anybody notice how Brees stops being accurate with pressure in his face?
I was dumb to jump on Bradford after the kind of “protection” he’s gotten; The O-line makes such a huge difference. I always knew that, but seeing a guy of Brees’ caliber look bad on so many plays cements it for me.
ViperLjs - January 14, 2012
It's the same for Brady and Rodgers as well.
People who complain about their offensive lines (don’t know why) fail to realize that while Rodgers may get sacked, he still gets plenty of time to throw the ball.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Akers is FF gold today
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
Saints D Held Niners To Three
After giving up that 40+ yard run!

ValdezY - January 14, 2012

RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
No shit Alex Smith is mobile,
he came from an Urban Meyer offense, after all. Sam is also mobile.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
You take the points for sure
But that actually wasn’t best case scenario. They could have ran the clock down almost all the way if they just get the first down.
Jombari - January 14, 2012
crabtree might not be able to catch worth a shit when it counts,
but he sure does know how to block when it counts
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Smith is dilfer 2.0
hes basically worthless
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
come on saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
plenty of time to get a td!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
I Thought Sproles Was Gonna Break That One!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Sproles is going to be either hero or villian today. His fumbles put the Saints in a hole, but he keeps coming back
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
He has been a Hero today Doug!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
I think you're right

David5264 - January 14, 2012
yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh f u SF
G unit Rams - January 14, 2012
I love how the announcers had just got done saying that SF was the best tackling team they've ever seen
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
Man, Graham
and Gronkowski are the new Gonzalez/Sharpe. I don’t care how premature that is, they’re looking like the dominant tight ends of this generation. Already breaking records.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
nothing would make me happier right now then the whiners losing.
why cant we have a tight end like that? fk
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
+++++++++++++
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
On both counts.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Damn.
OGC Reds - January 14, 2012

Douglas M - January 14, 2012
A Tight end war!!
David5264 - January 14, 2012
im hoping
Akers pulls out the inner gary anderson in him and fks everything up!!!!!!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Where can we get one of these "Tight Ends"?
OGC Reds - January 14, 2012
Maybe
you ought’a put 2 guys on that Davis guy.

RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Now our Playoff team has to start Flacco the rest of the way
Douglas M - January 14, 2012

RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Get a clue..
Greg Williams.
howie43 - January 14, 2012

All i can say about the last 3 minutes is

VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
no niners insults peppered i there?
or is that the sheep shit
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
Damn, Saints just can't beat the NFC west in the playoffs lately
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
I hate the 49ers but damn...
What a game!!! One of the most exciting games I have watched in awhile. Even tho I hate the 49ers, I hate the Saints more. Would rather see a team in the West win it all than the same ole teams win (Packer,Saints,Patriots, etc).
jpcisco - January 14, 2012
Niners
winning another one to tie the Steelers is a fucking nightmare. Fuck that I hope they get crushed next week.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
well, at least i think
Greg williams has more reason to come to the rams now at least.
fk u whiners, fk u in your stupid candlestick asses!!!!!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
DITTO
howie43 - January 14, 2012
Turned into a great game, that's for sure!
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
with the exception of whiners winning
best playoff game I may have ever seen
VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
no way is this better than the rams titans
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
that was the superbowl
and i’m speaking of non-rams games lol any playoff game where we win is the in the nest list
VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
i hate this game
i prefered the broncos beating the steelers game.
fk alex smith, fk the whiners.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
The SF DC is this game's MVP
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
LOL BREES!
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
well it looks like its true
the saints cant do shit against the nfc west.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Can't wait to see what the Rams defense looks like next year with such a mastermind
coordinator in Greg Williams!
StopSpe - January 14, 2012
What a Game!
David5264 - January 14, 2012
still fkn hate the whiners
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Brady Time!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
I actually bet 10 bucks on the 49ers
I thought I was wrong but had a feeling they would win, still hate the bastards though.
RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
watching that win hurts just as much as watching the Rams lose.
Absolutely gutted to see the whiners win… even if it was a great game.
Will not be defeated - January 14, 2012
sums it up pretty well
VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
Brady TO Wes TD!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012

RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile

ValdezY - January 14, 2012
McD and Brady are back!!!!!
Pats score in less than 2 minutes
RAMSALLTHEWAY - January 14, 2012 via mobile
is McDaniels actually calling plays?
i haven’t payed to much attention to his situation, i’m just glad we don’t have him.
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
Yelp so he can get back to his winning ways..
Everybody does well when they leave the rams..
RG31 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Laurant Robinson
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
43 yd run by hernandez?
VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
Bet McD made that call.
Works in New England. Not with Lance Kendricks.
Joe Mazzi - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Great, now Greg Williams can accept our DC job quicker now
and get things rolling
Jombari - January 14, 2012
we really want him?
after a complete breakdown like that in the last 4 minutes?
RedbirdAvenger - January 14, 2012
Saints secondary imploded
addnon - January 14, 2012
Yes
Players have to make plays
Jombari - January 14, 2012
Coaches have to account for Vernon Davis after he makes game-changing plays.
RedbirdAvenger - January 14, 2012
We have DEs that can actually put consistent pressure on a quarterback.
They do not.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
I believe
gregg Williams will have time to formulate a better gameplan for when he has to face the niners twice next season
ECURam87 - January 14, 2012 via Android app
WTF was that, Belk?
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Gotta love that Tebow doesn't slide
Jombari - January 14, 2012
If the Broncos don't run it 50 times this game
They will be very upset with themselves
Jombari - January 14, 2012
Wonder what its like to have a dominant line?
David5264 - January 14, 2012
I wonder what it's like to have a line.
OGC Reds - January 14, 2012
Belk fumble!
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
Yeah,
that’s exactly what the problem was with his mechanics. Easy to force the fumble when you wind it up like that.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
13 fumbles in the regular season, that's pretty insane even if you account for the fact that he runs more than most QBs
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
Teblow
VTramsFan - January 14, 2012
TEBOW FUMBLE!! Pats Ball!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
Brady Ball!
ValdezY - January 14, 2012
This game could get out of hand real quick for broncos.
if you turnover the ball
Da Rookie - January 14, 2012
hope not, blowouts aren't fun to watch
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
NBD we beat the sants too.
onlyK - January 14, 2012
the reason the cheatriots won the first time was..
all the turnovers in the 2nd quarter. come one tebow hold onto the damn ball!!!!!!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
no amount of grip could have prevented that
a quicker throwing action would have
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
the fumble didnt help either
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
i still dont understand
how people think Amendolla can be so easily replaced by salas. Amendoall is the welker of the nfc west.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
uh no, Welker is way way better
DAnny can’t even get 10 yards a catch. Very overrated.
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
yea, guy who led the lead in total yardage...
so over rated……….and not his fault bradford passed to him that short, he had no other option.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
im not saying hes better then welker, no slot receiver is
but he good, and does what welker does for brady.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
He's not even close to as good as Welker
his production isn’t even good! Easily replaceable
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
can't get those yac yards
only had 689 yards, not tough to replace. Also he’s a crappy returner.
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
i agree with the returner part
but we really have no other option cause of crappy drafting.
ok well we’ll agree to disagree, give bradford some legit targets that can be deep threats and lets see how amendolla does in the slot.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
kick returner, he's quite good as a punt returner
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
he's decent, but not what I call good at it
Doesn’t have the explosiveness to take it too the house
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
all he has is explosiveness, the problem is his top speed isn't very high
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
he has quicks but not explosiveness
explosiveness = speed
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
explosiveness = acceleration in my book
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
so you call Welker explosive??
I don’t, I call Desean Jackson and Mike Wallace types explosive, because they make explosive plays
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
I think he's got a great first step after the catch
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
it's not my fault your basis for explosionsiveness is arbitrarily assigned to NFL players
and mine is based on the sudden burst of energy of actual explosions
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
haha
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
Yeah,
I consider it his burst as well. But no speed, just agility and burst.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
i agree
he can get a few yards, but he inst gonna score us a td ever on them. i dont see why hes returning them at all. put a corner to return it for fl sake
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
good punt returners take ti to the house form time to time
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
well we dont have one of those
were fkd in that department. were not taking a cb early like claiborne so were still in a jam unless we land wright in the 2nd round
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
You're the one comparing him to Welker LOL.
Amendola is as poor a man version of Welker. Reliable as hell in 3rd and short-medium.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
yeah, i'll complain about Danny's YAC once we get guys who can actually accomplish the C
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
yes i am
cause hes the only reliable reciever we’ve had beside picking up Lloyd. not my fault we have a bunch of crappy broke down receivers.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
doesn't' mean he's a Welker just cause he's only good guy
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
i didnt say he was welker. lol
im saying hes the best slot option we have, and if we have deep threat/playmaking wr’s he’ll only do better
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
“Amendoall is the welker of the nfc west.” Maybe you shouldn’t lie when I have documentation of what you said
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
wes welker of the NFC west might be true though
is there a player more similar to Welker inside the division?
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
“im not saying hes better then welker, no slot receiver is
but he good, and does what welker does for brady.” He said he’s as good as Welker
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
he didn't say that
he does for Bradford what Welker does for Brady = True
he is not better than Welker = True
you are reading into his post to much and arguing against self created points
TheBirds - January 14, 2012
I though I saw an "as" in there
my mistake
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
ty bird, for some reason
he just isnt understanding this.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
its the nfc west man, name another slot receiver better then him in the west!!
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
“im not saying hes better then welker, no slot receiver is
but he good, and does what welker does for brady.” As good as Welker is what you said there
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
amendolla bails bradford out, or at least did last year.
and thats what welker does for brady, so how am i wrong, im not saying hes as good as welker, im just saying hes playing the role
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Welker's role is WAY more than that
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
the difference is
brady had 2 TE’s that are awesome, while we could add up everything all of our TE’s do and wouldnt equal even Hernandez. our wr’s suck compared to theres except for ocho cinco. we lack wr talent massivly. and thats why amendoalla has to play the role he does and welker gets to play his.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
even before the TEs, his role was way more than that
and even before Moss. Does he do short routes? Yes, but he also can run deep routes very very well and he can make explosive plays down the field. Danny can’t.
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
Yup,
there is a reason Welker had the second most yards in the league. Plus, his YAC ability is just money. 6.2 is insane. It’s almost as much as Danny got per reception lol.
douchiedude - January 14, 2012
THIS
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
Smith had 50.8 FF points today!
Douglas M - January 14, 2012
i tend to think that was more shurmur
and his dink and dunk passing game. lets see what happens next year. if somehow salas takes over his job cause hes more productive then il be happy, i just want some wr’s that dont suck. im tired of our shitty ones that cant get open or catch. at least amendolla could catch.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
and not once did i ever say amendolla was as good as welker.
Tampa_Ram - January 14, 2012
Yeah, I misread your post
my bad
Brick Top - January 14, 2012
no problem man
it happens. hope your understanding what my point is though.
