VIDEO: Fake Field Goal Buries The Rams

Ugh. As if things needed to get worse for the St. Louis Rams. On the first 49ers possession after St. Louis lost running back Steven Jackson, San Francisco used a fake field goal to add a touchdown to their lead over the Rams. David Akers threw a pass to Michael Crabtree for the score.

Check out the video right here.

Star-divide

San Francisco needs a win to secure a first round bye in the playoffs as the second seed in the NFC. A lead would allow the 49ers to pull some of their starters before the end of the game.

That was Crabtree’s second touchdown of the game. He caught a 28-yard pass from Alex Smith for a second quarter touchdown. Crabtree has 92 yards on nine receptions to go with his two touchdowns.

The Rams lost running back Steven Jackson on the series before the 49ers scored on the fake field goal, making the likely outcome a little more likely.

No kidding...

Up until todays fiasco, I was thinking “maybe give Spags one more year, minus McD”…not anymore…clueless, abso-freaking-loutly clueless..

What did Spags think that Crabtree was doing over there?

Catching a breather? Trying to pick up a cheerleader?

Adios Spagnolo.
