Leave it to the St. Louis Rams to turn a standard gimmick play into a costly endeavor that helps bury them even further. Lined up in the shotgun, St. Louis snapped the ball directly to running back Jerious Norwood. He was intercepted trying to throw to quarterback Kellen Clemens on the trick play by Tarell Brown.
The 49ers got the ball on the Rams' 34-yard line and scored a touchdown two plays later.

on 3rd and 3 Why!?...a direct snap to Jerious Norwood where he throws a pass back across his body across the field.
They get pissed at quarterbacks for doing that so the Rams draw up a play where their backup running back is going to execute it LOL!

all for the upside of about a 5 yd gain
I wouldn’t have called that play if it would have resulted in a TD if it was successful. The second Clemens began to run his route the jig was up.
