The 2006 draft class isn't a total loss for the Rams. The St. Louis Rams re-signed veteran C/G Mark Setterstrom, a sevneth-round pick in '06, to a one-year contract. Setterstrom has been a steady backup for the Rams, when healthy. It's a good, low cost move that combined with the addition of C/G Hank Fraley gives the Rams quality depth and flexibility on the offensive line.
Another one of the 30 prospects the Rams will bring in for a visit this year is Fresno State RB Ryan Mathews. This is someone the Rams could very well have their eye on with the 33rd pick of the draft. Though Mathews is considered by some a late first round pick, things could get really unpredictable given the kind of talent available in this year's draft. He posted a 4.45 second time in the 40-yard dash,
Hey, you're unhappy with the Rams free agent season? You got nothing on Seattle fans who just saw their team trade away a very competent starting DE Darryl Tapp. And they could be planning to part ways with starting G Rob Sims, which I assume has something to do with their switch to a zone blocking scheme on the offensive line.

Seattle also got a DE and 4th round pick from Philly for Tapp,
which to me sounds like rebuilding heavy in the draft or doing what it takes to get B. Marshall and still have picks remaining.

Awesome
Good to hear about the Stetterstrom signing. This guy is much better than most believe and definitely starting caliber. That’s right, starting caliber if he stays healthy.
I would much rather have Griffen, Best, or possibly even Witherspoon if they are available at this point in the draft. Heck, I may even like for the Rams to grab Hernandez if he is still available. He is one of the reasons that Tebow looked so good at Florida.

He did play well but starting seems to be too much abuse for him

Tye Hill got fired! - Who drafted that bust???
The Rams, of course!

Ryan Mathews
i don’t think the Rams should be looking at RB for the 33rd pick in the draft, but if they did this would be the guy to take. he’s played in an NFL style of offense and could you imagine this stud sharing time with The Predator. these two guys would wear defenses down.

Agreed
If it’s a Smoke screen it’s OK, but I kind of doubt that.
